This game will be played at State Farm Stadium at 4:25 PM ET on Sunday, October 9, 2022.
Why Bet The Eagles:
✅ Arizona’s offense has been anemic so far this season, as they are tied for tied for 28th in the NFL in yards per play gained this season. The Eagles are fifth in the league in that category, averaging 1.3 yards per play more than the Cardinals through four weeks. Here, the Eagles’ more explosive offense will propel them to a win and a cover against the Cardinals.

✅ The Eagles are also better than the Cardinals on defense coming into this contest. Philadelphia ranks third in the NFL in yards per play allowed, compared to a Cardinals team that ranks 27th in the league in that department. The Eagles allow 1.6 yards per play less than the Cardinals, and their net yards per play advantage coming into this contest is massive.
✅ The Cardinals have been a disaster at home since the start of last season. They are 2-8 against the spread in their last 10 home games, including 0-2 against the spread at home this season. Their woes at home will continue here against an Eagles team that is quickly building a case for being one of the best teams in the NFL.
Philadelphia Eagles
Last week, the Philadelphia Eagles fell behind 14-0 at home against the Jacksonville Jaguars in rainy conditions at home. But they roared back and erased that deficit en route to a win and a cover. This week, the Eagles put their 4-0 record on the line against the Arizona Cardinals on the road, as the Eagles look to build some cushion between themselves and the rest of the NFC East.
For the Eagles, limiting mistakes is going to be huge in this contest against the Cardinals. The Eagles are vastly superior to the Cardinals on both sides of the ball, but the Cardinals have been able to take advantage of mistakes from teams like the Raiders and Panthers this season. As long as the Eagles do not give the Cardinals any lifelines, they should be able to take care of business here.
Arizona Cardinals
The Arizona Cardinals beat the Carolina Panthers last week, getting to 2-2 on the season, which is where every team in the NFC West stands entering Week 5. Arizona took advantage of three Carolina turnovers and held the Panthers to just 220 total yards of offense. This week, the Cardinals face a much tougher offensive opponent, and will really need to step up defensively to earn a second straight win.
The big question for the Cardinals in this game will be whether or not they can get their offense going at home for a change. Arizona has averaged 16.5 points per game at home this season, while allowing 32.0 points per game, most of which came against the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 1. Against a dynamic Eagles offense, the Cardinals have to either play better on defense or offense in order to keep pace with Jalen Hurts and company.
