This game will be played at Bank of America Stadium at 4:05 PM ET on Sunday, October 9, 2022.
Why Bet The 49ers:
✅ The San Francisco 49ers have the number one defense in the NFL in terms of yards per play allowed. They are allowing 3.8 yards per play on the season, and are the only team giving up under 4.0 yards per play on the year. Against a Carolina team that ranks 27th in the league in yards per play, the Niners defense will continue to prosper en route to a convincing victory.

✅ The Panthers appear to be falling apart at the seams at this point in the season. They are reportedly shopping D.J. Moore in the trade market after his comments pertaining to the team’s passing game. And with Matt Rhule on the hot seat, things could continue to get worse for the Panthers and struggling offense here.
✅ No team is averaging fewer yards per game than the Carolina Panthers this season so far. They are 262.3 yards per game, ranking below even the anemic Chicago Bears offense. Against a Niners team that has allowed just 46 points in four games, the Panthers are going to continue to have a terrible campaign by getting beaten convincingly by San Francisco.
San Francisco 49ers
The San Francisco 49ers rebounded nicely from their Week 3 loss to the Denver Broncos, putting on a defensive clinic in their Monday night win over the Los Angeles Rams. The Niners kept the Rams out of the end zone in that game, doing just enough offensively to keep themselves in front for the majority of the contest. This week, the Niners will look for their first road win, after losing on the road against the Bears and Broncos.
For San Francisco, the question in this game is whether their offense will travel for the first time all season. The Niners were shut down in the rain in Chicago, and were no better in the high altitude in Denver. They need to have their first successful offensive contest of the season here to get above .500 and move back into the ranks of the contenders in the NFC.
Carolina Panthers
The last few weeks have been a nightmare for the Carolina Panthers, as they are off to a 1-3 start to the season. Last week, the Panthers squandered a strong start against the Arizona Cardinals and were crushed in the second half of that game. The Panthers need to put together a more consistent four quarters in order to avoid a similar fate this Sunday, but there is no indication they are capable of doing that.
The offense of the Panthers has been just woeful so far this season. They are at the bottom of the league in yards per game and Baker Mayfield has shown no progress since taking over as the team’s starting quarterback. If that does not change soon, the Panthers could clean house sooner rather than later.
