On Sunday, a huge game between NFC East foes will play out, when the Washington Commanders and New York Giants go at it. Both teams are above .500, but face a difficult fight if they want to earn a Wild Card berth in the NFC. In our NFL betting picks for this week, we break down Commanders vs Giants from MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.
Commanders vs Giants Betting Pick
ℹ️ The Pick: | Commanders -2.5 |

This game will be played at MetLife Stadium at 1:00 PM ET on Sunday, December 4, 2022.
Why Bet The Commanders:
✅ Washington has the second longest active win streak in the NFC right now, having won three straight games. Taylor Heinicke is doing just enough for the team to stay on track offensively, and their defense is rounding into form late in the season.
✅ The Giants, meanwhile, are wilting late in the season. They have lost two straight games, including a home game against the Lions, and they will continue to struggle here.
✅ The predictable nature of the Giants offense will get them into trouble against other winning teams. They are way too reliant on Saquon Barkley, which will force them into unfavorable passing situations on third downs.

Washington Commanders
The Washington Commanders‘ hot streak continued last week, with Washington beating the Atlanta Falcons to move to 7-5 on the year. Taylor Heinicke was not the team’s first choice at quarterback this season, but he threw two touchdown passes to continue to propel the team in the place of Carson Wentz. Here, Heinicke will look for another key victory, this time against a division rival in the Giants.
Washington’s running game has really come along in recent weeks, and will be a key factor in this game for them as well. Early in the season, Washington had one of the worst rushing averages in the league, but have worked their way into the top half in yards per game on the ground thanks to the play of Brian Robinson. Against an inconsistent Giants run defense, Washington will look for another big game on the ground.
New York Giants
Last week, the New York Giants played on Thanksgiving day, and they fell short against their rivals in the Dallas Cowboys. The Giants were never really a threat to win that game, as their offense could not get going against one of the top defenses in the NFL. Here, the Giants will aim to get back on track, but they will need more from the quarterback position for that to happen.
Daniel Jones has thrown for 250 or more yards one time this season, with that coming in a loss to the Detroit Lions. While a lot of that has to do with the Giants choosing to run the ball more than they pass the ball, Jones is not blameless either, and he has to be more effective when he is called upon to deliver the ball.
