On Saturday, the Houston Texans and Baltimore Ravens will meet in the Divisional round of the NFL playoffs. Baltimore enters as a heavy favorite, but the explosive nature of the Texans offense has made it so that nothing is impossible in this contest. Here, we give you our favorite Texans vs Ravens props as a part of our NFL betting picks for the second weekend of NFL postseason action.
Texans vs Ravens Player Prop #1: Nico Collins Anytime TD Scorer (+165)
The first of our Texans vs Ravens props for this weekend is for Nico Collins to find the end zone at any point in the game at a plus price. Collins scored eight touchdowns for the Texans during the regular season this year. He followed that up with a touchdown in the Wild Card round against the Cleveland Browns, in a game where he had 96 receiving yards as well.
In this game, the Texans may end up trailing to the point that they need to put the ball in the air often to stay competitive. Collins’ ability to make big plays in the red zone as well as on downfield throws makes him an attractive option to score in this game, whether things are close or not coming down the stretch in Baltimore.
Texans vs Ravens Player Prop #2: CJ Stroud Over 238.5 Passing Yards (-135)
Our other prop for this contest is for CJ Stroud to go over his passing yardage total for the Texans. Stroud played against the Ravens in his first career start as an NFL quarterback in Week 1 of this season, throwing for 242 yards in that contest. Stroud has improved so much since then that it only makes sense to take his over in this contest as well.
Stroud did not throw an interception in that first matchup against the Ravens to start his professional career. He has thrown just five interceptions this season as a whole, avoiding any picks in his first career playoff start as well. While he may not be able to lead the Texans to a win on the road in this game, we believe in Stroud to get us over this number.
