Sunday Night Football Pick & Preview – New England Patriots @ Baltimore Ravens

The game of the week takes place Sunday night as the 8-0 New England Patriots travel to Baltimore to take on Lamar Jackson and the 5-2 Ravens. This game is strength vs strength as the Patriots have the best defense in the league, and potentially ever, and the Ravens have a dynamic offense led by Lamar Jackson and the ground game.

New England are one of two undefeated teams remaining, along with San Francisco in the NFC, and currently occupy the top seed in the AFC conference and AFC East. The Pats have a 2.5 game lead over 2nd place Buffalo in the AFC East and also have a 2.5 game lead over the Indianapolis Colts and Ravens in the AFC. The Ravens currently have a two game lead on 2nd place Pittsburgh, in the AFC North, and can move within 1.5 games of the Patriots for the top overall seed in the AFC with a win Sunday night.

Below is my best bet for the Sunday night football action between the New England Patriots and the Baltimore Ravens. All lines are from FanDuel Sportsbook

New England Patriots (-3) at Baltimore Ravens: O/U 45 points (+100/-120)

The New England Patriots remained undefeated with an easy 27-13 win over the Cleveland Browns last weekend. Once again the Patriots defense was the story of the day as the defense allowed just one touchdown, and scored one on their own, in their dominating win over the now 2-5 Browns. The Pats have still yet to give up more than 14 points this season and giving up a minuscule 7.6 points per game. New England is 6-2 ATS and the under has hit in six of their eight games in 2019.

The Baltimore Ravens had a bye last week, but I’m sure they enjoyed their off week as the Ravens went into Seattle and came out with a 30-16 win over the Seahawks. Baltimore has now won three straight games after dropping two straight games to the Chiefs and Browns. The Seattle win was impressive, but the Ravens did not look all too great in their two previous wins over Cincinnati and Pittsburgh. Baltimore is 2-4-1 ATS and the over has hit in four of their seven games this season.

Series History: The Patriots lead the all-time series 10-3 after winning the last three meetings between the two.

Game Prediction: I am not going to go against the Patriots at this point, so I am backing New England at -3.

YTD NFL Results: 29-25
