Seattle Seahawks at Philadelphia Eagles Week 12 Pick & Prediction

Seattle Seahawks at Philadelphia Eagles Week 12 Pick & Prediction

A NFC matchup that was originally scheduled for Sunday night, but was flexed to the early slate of games looked much better on paper before the season started. The 8-2 Seattle Seahawks travel to Philadelphia to take on the offensively challenged 5-5 Philadelphia Eagles. Philadelphia is battling for their playoff lives, while the Seahawks are trying to stay with top teams in the NFC to get a first round bye.

The Seattle Seahawks are currently in the top Wild Card spot in NFC, as the fifth seed, but are just half a game back of the top seed San Francisco 49ers thanks to Seattle’s OT win a few weeks back. A loss for San Francisco and a win for Seattle would move the Seahawks into the top three seeds in the NFC.

Philadelphia is seeing their playoff chances decline more each week as they are currently one and a half games back of the Dallas Cowboys in the NFC East and are two and a half games back of the final Wild Card spot in the NFC. A win Sunday would go a long way for the Philadelphia Eagles playoff hopes.

Below is my best bet for the Seattle Seahawks at the Philadelphia Eagles. All lines are from FanDuel Sportsbook

Seattle Seahawks at Philadelphia Eagles (-2): O/U 48 points (-110/-110)

Seattle headed into their bye week on a high note as they won an all-time classic Monday Night Football game the week before. In a back and forth game the Seahawks were able to end San Francisco’s undefeated season and walk out of the Bay Area with a 27-24 win. It was the third straight win for the Seahawks as they prepare to enter a very difficult stretch of the season. Seattle is 5-1 against NFC opponents and are 5-0 on the road in 2019. The Seattle Seahawks are 5-5 against the spread and the over has hit in six of their 10 games this season.

The Philadelphia Eagles came out of their bye week and looked like the offense stayed at home as they put up 10 points early in the game and then could not move the ball after that. Philadelphia had plenty of chances to beat the New England Patriots, but 255 yards, and 10 points, did not get done as the Eagles ended up falling 17-10. The Eagles have now lost three of their last five games, but are in a terrible division and are still right there in playoff contention. The Philadelphia Eagles are 4-6 against the spread and both the over and under have hit in five of their 10 games this season.

Series History: Seattle has won four straight meetings between the two franchises and now leads the all-time series 9-7.

NFL Prediction: How in the world are the Philadelphia Eagles favorites in this one? I am backing Seattle +2 Sunday.
