A battle in the tight NFC West is set for Sunday, October 25, 2020, when the unbeaten Seattle Seahawks (5-0) visit the exciting Arizona Cardinals (4-2). Seattle leads the NFC West by 1.5 games over the Cardinals and Los Angeles Rams. This game will air live on FOX at 4:05 p.m. EST.
Through five games, the Seattle offense is averaging 33.8 points per game and 415.8 yards per game, 300.4 through the air and 115.4 on the ground. Defensively, the Seahawks are allowing 27.0 points and 477.4 yards, 376.6 passing and 100.8 rushing. Chris Carson is the Seahawks leading rusher with 289 yards and three touchdowns. DK Metcalf is breaking out this season as the second-year receiver leads Seattle with 496 yards and five touchdowns.
Six games in, the Arizona offense is averaging 27.7 points per game and 408.8 yards per game, 247.8 through the air and 161.0 on the ground. Defensively, the Cardinals are allowing just 18.7 points and 367.8 yards, 248.2 passing and 119.7 rushing. Kenyan Drake leads all Cardinals rushers with 478 yards and four touchdowns. DeAndre Hopkins is having a great first season in Arizona as he leads the team with 601 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Below is my best bet for Week 7 action between the Seattle Seahawks and Arizona Cardinals. All lines are from FanDuel Sportsbook.Seattle Seahawks (-3.5) at Arizona Cardinals: O/U 56.5 (-105/-115)
The Seattle Seahawks are coming off a bye, but they will still be riding high off their 27-26 comeback win over the Minnesota Vikings. Seattle trailed 13-0 at the half, and 26-21 late in the fourth quarter, but a vintage final Russell Wilson drive gave the Seahawks the lead, and win, with 15 second left in the game. Russell Wilson went 20/32 for 217 yards, three touchdowns, one interception, and led the team with 58 rushing yards on five attempts. DK Metcalf hauled in six receptions for 93 yards and two touchdowns, including a diving game winning touchdown catch.
Arizona visited the Dallas Cowboys on Monday Night Football and put on a show on both sides of the ball. The Cardinals jumped out to a 21-3 first half lead and ended up leaving Dallas with a 38-10 victory. Kyler Murray did not have an efficient night as he went just 9/24 for 188 yards, two touchdowns, both to Christian Kirk, and had 74 rush yards for one touchdown. Kenyan Drake was the story of the night as he rushed the ball 20 times for 164 yards and two touchdowns. The Cardinals defense forced four Cowboys turnovers, two interceptions and two lost fumbles, and held the new Cowboys offense to 344 total yards.
Series History: Seattle has won three of the last four meetings and now leads the all-time series 21-20-1.
ATS Prediction: I like Arizona +3.5 in this NFC West showdown.
