49ers vs Colts
We have been spoiled this year with quality prime time football, but this week might end the lucky streak for us. The Browns and Broncos were no fun on Thursday night, and Sunday Night Football may be even less fun. The biggest story for this game is the expectation of extremely heavy rain. This will be terrible for the quarterbacks and we will see a slow, run heavy approach from both sides.

49ers vs Colts Player Prop Pick: Jimmy Garoppolo Under 209.5 Passing Yards
โ Make no mistake, the biggest factor in this matchup is the weather. The level of rain expected is enough to stifle any passing game. The 49ers are a team generally happy to run the ball without weather concerns, so that will be their method of attack. Opportunities to throw for Garoppolo will be even more limited than normal, and fewer attempts correlates with fewer yards.
โ Let’s play devil’s advocate for a moment and say the weather is not quite as bad as we are expecting. Is the wager still worth making? With the obvious caveat that heavy rain is better for a passing yards under than not heavy rain, yes it is still a quality wager. Garoppolo has played four games this year and threw 30 or fewer passes in three of them. He has failed to hit 200 yards in two games and the 49ers are yet to play against a quality defense.
โ Even with weather concerns baked into the prop line, the under is still more probable than the over assuming no weather issues.
