NY Giants Betting Odds: How Well Will The New York Giants Play?

Expectations were not high for the New York Giants heading into the 2020 season. There was a reason for hope after the team succeeded in plugging a few holes via the draft and free agency. With the talent on the offensive side of the ball, they could even be competitive in a few games.

While they ultimately lost their Week One game against the Pittsburgh Steelers, they did not play too poorly. The defense showed a lot of promise, but it did not get a lot of help from the offense. Overall, Daniel Jones was better, but he had two interceptions and made a few decisions he should not have.

The biggest issue, of course, was the running game because they did not have one. Jones ended up leading the way with 22 yards. Saquon Barkley ended the day with only six yards on 15 carries.

But when you factor in how poorly the Eagles played, how the Cowboys still looked like the old Cowboys, and Washington’s surprise win, it doesn’t look impossible for the Giants to win a few games this year.

So, with that in mind, BetMGM.com has a few prop bets related to how the Giants will play this season:

  • Team to start 0-4 +110

With one in the books already, this wager looks promising. They have the Chicago Bears this week but then face the San Francisco 49ers and Los Angeles Rams. If they are going to win one, it will likely be this week against the Bears. But if the Bears can play as they did in the fourth quarter last week, they will go 0-4.

  • Team to lose all home games +4000

This season they face the Steelers, 49ers, Washington, Buccaneers, Eagles, Cardinals, Browns, and Cowboys at home and already lost to the Steelers. They will probably lose to the 49ers, Buccaneers, Cardinals, and Browns (assuming they can continue to play like they did Thursday night. Dallas is probably a loss as well.

That just leaves the Eagles and Washington. It is not hard to picture the Eagles getting their act together by the time they visit. But Washington is a tough call. On paper, the Giants are better, but Washington could pull off the upset if Jones throws a couple of picks.

Don’t bet the farm but go ahead and put a little down here.

  • Team to win all 6 division games +10000

No. There is no way this one is going to happen unless several teams suffer unspeakable tragedies this season.

  • To make the playoffs
    • Yes +600
    • No -910

Like the thought of them winning all six division games, it isn’t easy to imagine a scenario in which they make the playoffs.

  • Team to lose all 6 division games +1800

This is entirely possible. Both the Cowboys and Eagles absolutely should beat the Giants, but the Giants and Washington could be competitive. It would not be shocking to see them each win one. But it would not be surprising to see Washington sweep both.

There is a chance this one could happen, but not a good one. However, the possibility and the reward is worth risking a small wager.
