32. Carolina Panthers
Super Bowl Winner Odds: +40000
The Carolina Panthers are the last remaining winless team in the NFL this season. They are 0-5, and their offense has really struggled with Bryce Young at the helm. Growing pains were always to be expected with a rookie quarterback, but eventually Young is going to need to start delivering, while the coaching staff of the Panthers needs to figure out how to properly utilize players like Miles Sanders.
31. Denver Broncos
Super Bowl Winner Odds: +20000
There are a couple of teams with worse Super Bowl odds than the Denver Broncos. But the Broncos have been horrible to start this season, with their latest humiliation coming in the form of a home loss to the New York Jets. Denver’s offense has not improved much under Sean Payton, while their defense has not done enough to keep them in games either. We should see the Broncos contend for last place in the AFC West, rather than first place.
30. New York Giants
Super Bowl Winner Odds: +20000
The New York Giants may get Saquon Barkley back soon. But the question is whether or not that will matter given how poorly they have played so far this season. New York’s NFC team has won just one game this season, and they have been just dreadful in the first halves of their games so far. That is not likely to change, as their inability to protect Daniel Jones will be a problem all season long.
29. New England Patriots
Super Bowl Winner Odds: +15000
It has become clear that Mac Jones is not the answer at quarterback for the New England Patriots. Jones and the Patriots have averaged just 11 points per game through Week 5, which ranks last in the NFL, worse than even the Giants. There is a legitimate claim to be made that the Patriots should give Bailey Zappe a chance at quarterback this season.
28. Chicago Bears
Super Bowl Winner Odds: +20000
The Chicago Bears finally got into the win column in Week 5, winning on the road on Thursday Night Football against the Washington Commanders. The connection between Justin Fields and DJ Moore finally looked good, and Chicago will hope that pairing will continue to develop a rapport that could help save their season.
27. Arizona Cardinals
Super Bowl Winner Odds: +40000
This season, the Arizona Cardinals are just 1-4 on the year. But they have been pretty competitive for the most part, and Joshua Dobbs has not been horrible as their quarterback in the place of the injured Kyler Murray. This team is not going to contend for a playoff berth by any means, but they will be a headache for good teams, even if the wins do not come.
26. Minnesota Vikings
Super Bowl Winner Odds: +9000
Minnesota was supposed to compete for a wide open NFC North at the start of this season. But they are just 1-4 through Week 5, and they have dropped to the bottom of the standings in their division. Minnesota’s defense has been a wreck, and the Vikings might have to put Justin Jefferson on injured reserve, as things could go from bad to worse in Minneapolis.
25. Las Vegas Raiders
Super Bowl Winner Odds: +13000
The Las Vegas Raiders managed to win at home on Monday Night Football to close out Week 5, getting the better of the Green Bay Packers. Even in that win, though, the Raiders really struggled on the offensive side of the ball. Jimmy Garoppolo has had a hard time moving the ball consistently, and injury concerns for Davante Adams will not help him as the Raiders look up at the Chargers and Chiefs in the AFC West standings.
24. New York Jets
Super Bowl Winner Odds: +13000
Next up in our NFL power rankings is the New York Jets, who are trying to make the best of a bad situation with Aaron Rodgers out of action for the year. Zach Wilson has come on in the last couple of weeks, though, including in the team’s Week 5 win over the Denver Broncos. Breece Hall no longer having a snap count is also huge for this team, which should be a little more two-dimensional looking forward.
23. Tennessee Titans
Super Bowl Winner Odds: +8000
Right now, we kind of know who the Tennessee Titans are. They are 2-0 at home and 0-3 on the road, which puts them right around the middle of the pack in the NFL this season. Tennessee is in just the kind of limbo that could result in Ryan Tannehill handing the reins to the offense over to Will Levis in the near future, but the Titans are also in contention in the AFC South, which makes it hard to justify such a move just yet.
22. Houston Texans
Super Bowl Winner Odds: +13000
CJ Stroud has been excellent for the Houston Texans so far this season, and that will help the Texans to remain competitive for much longer than usual in the AFC South. Stroud broke the record for most pass attempts without an interception to start an NFL career last week against the Atlanta Falcons. And while the rest of the Texans roster needs some work around him, that is encouraging stuff for the Texans.
21. Washington Commanders
Super Bowl Winner Odds: +15000
After a 2-0 start to this season, the Washington Commanders have lost three straight games to fall to 2-3. One of those losses came against the Chicago Bears in Week 5, as the Commanders defense was unable to get stops on a consistent basis at home on Thursday Night Football. This week, the Commanders visit the Atlanta Falcons and will look to avoid a fourth straight loss in the process.
20. Green Bay Packers
Super Bowl Winner Odds: +8000
Coming in 20th in our NFL power rankings will be the Green Bay Packers. Green Bay’s offense was a no-show in their Monday Night Football loss to the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 5. The Packers have lost two games in a row, and are just below the .500 mark, which is disappointing given that there is a real chance for a mediocre NFC team or two to earn Wild Card positions.
19. Los Angeles Rams
Super Bowl Winner Odds: +10000
While the LA Rams are 2-3 so far this season, that is not terrible given how low expectations were for them going into this season. Cooper Kupp is back on the field for the Rams, which should make their dangerous passing attack even better going forward. The question for this team will be its defense, though, which has been pretty mediocre early on.
18. Indianapolis Colts
Super Bowl Winner Odds: +13000
Indianapolis deserves some credit for playing well through five weeks of the NFL season. They are 3-2, and head coach Shane Steichen is in the top-five in NFL Coach of the Year odds thus far. Anthony Richardson is hurt for the second time already this season, though, which could negatively impact how this team looks in the near future.
17. Cincinnati Bengals
Super Bowl Winner Odds: +2800
While the Cincinnati Bengals have not looked great early this season, they could be trending in the right direction. Joe Burrow looked great against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 5, completing deep passes that he struggled to throw in previous weeks. If the Bengals have a healthy quarterback again, they could shoot back up these rankings in the near future.
16. Pittsburgh Steelers
Super Bowl Winner Odds: +8000
Right in the middle of our NFL power rankings are the Pittsburgh Steelers. They got a comeback win over the Baltimore Ravens in Week 5, despite the struggles of their offense throughout that game. Kenny Pickett’s struggles are the only thing that could hold this team back, as they have one of the best defenses in all of football.
15. Atlanta Falcons
Super Bowl Winner Odds: +7000
So far this year, the Atlanta Falcons are undefeated at home and winless on the road. Atlanta put together a brilliant two-minute drive to beat the Houston Texans in Week 5, one that included some improved passing from Desmond Ridder. But Ridder’s consistency will be important to this team going forward, as the other pieces are there for this team to have success this season.
14. Cleveland Browns
Super Bowl Winner Odds: +2800
Cleveland enjoyed a bye week in Week 5, as they have a 2-2 record at this point in the season. Cleveland is just like Pittsburgh, in that they have a great defense but lack the consistent quarterback play to be a truly elite team. With that said, if the Browns can get more out of Deshaun Watson coming out of their bye week, the Browns could be in great shape in a wide open AFC North.
13. New Orleans Saints
Super Bowl Winner Odds: +4000
The New Orleans Saints enjoyed a blowout win last week over the New England Patriots, bringing their record to 3-2 on the season so far. Three teams have the same 3-2 record in this division, as the Saints do not have much room for error despite their strong start to the year. Derek Carr has played through a shoulder injury admirably so far, and the question for this team will be whether he can continue to do so.
12. Los Angeles Chargers
Super Bowl Winner Odds: +2800
The LA Chargers had their bye week in Week 5, and they are 2-2 going into Week 6. The Bolts have been excellent offensively this season, averaging 27.5 points per game. But their defense needs to provide Justin Herbert with some help, and they will face a decent litmus test on both sides of the ball against the Dallas Cowboys on Monday Night Football to close out this week.
11. Baltimore Ravens
Super Bowl Winner Odds: +2200
The Baltimore Ravens can be so difficult to figure out. They can look like one of the most dominant teams in the NFL in some weeks, but then they blow games against teams like the Colts and Steelers, leaving you wondering whether they are legitimate contenders in the AFC at all. We have them slotted in at number 11 in these rankings, but that could change in a hurry.
10. Jacksonville Jaguars
Super Bowl Winner Odds: +2800
Opening the top-10 in our NFL power rankings is the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Jaguars come into Week 6 having won back-to-back games in London against the Atlanta Falcons and Buffalo Bills. Now they return to the United States to face the Indianapolis Colts, in a game that will decide which of those two teams will have sole possession of the top spot in the AFC South.
9. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Super Bowl Winner Odds: +7000
There are understandable questions about whether or not the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have any staying power in the NFC South race. But they have looked excellent to start this season. Baker Mayfield has been serviceable at quarterback in the place of the retired Tom Brady. Meanwhile, the defense of the Bucs has been a top-10 defense in the NFL, as this team looks very dangerous early in the season.
8. Seattle Seahawks
Super Bowl Winner Odds: +3500
Through Week 5, the Seattle Seahawks have the sixth ranked scoring offense in the NFL. Geno Smith has recovered nicely from a poor performance in Week 1, and that should continue as he has more than enough weapons to confound opposing defenses. Seattle faces a tough test against the Cincinnati Bengals on the road this week, which will be very telling for both teams.
7. Buffalo Bills
Super Bowl Winner Odds: +950
Buffalo was put in a bad spot in Week 5, traveling late to London and losing to a Jacksonville Jaguars team that had been there for a couple of weeks already. That loss dropped the Bills to 3-2 for the season, and put them a game back of the Miami Dolphins at the top of the AFC East. Buffalo has time to recover from that deficit, but they need to be more consistent offensively and avoid making mistakes to do so.
6. Dallas Cowboys
Super Bowl Winner Odds: +1500
We have moved the Dallas Cowboys down our NFL power rankings slightly after their loss to the San Francisco 49ers in Week 5. But there is ultimately no shame in losing to a Niners team that is clearly the best in football so far. The question for the Cowboys will be how they respond to this kind of adversity, after losing twice in the last three weeks.
5. Detroit Lions
Super Bowl Winner Odds: +1500
This is the point in our NFL power rankings where every team from here on out could win the Super Bowl. The Detroit Lions are in that discussion at this point in time, as they are 4-1 through the first five weeks of this season. Detroit faces a tough Tampa Bay team this week, in what will be a nice test for them on the road. But Detroit could rise to that challenge as their pass rush could give Baker Mayfield some serious problems.
4. Miami Dolphins
Super Bowl Winner Odds: +900
Miami bounced back nicely in Week 5 after losing on the road to the Buffalo Bills the week before. The Dolphins crushed the New York Giants and are 4-1 through the first five weeks of the year. Losing De’Von Achane to injury is unfortunate for the Dolphins, but they have more than enough weapons to make up for his absence until he is ready to get back on the field.
3. Philadelphia Eagles
Super Bowl Winner Odds: +800
Even if they have not looked their best for much of the beginning of this season, the Philadelphia Eagles are still undefeated through five weeks of NFL action. Philly’s offense continues to look sharper as the season goes on, and their win against the LA Rams this past week was impressive given that Cooper Kupp was back on the field for Los Angeles.
2. Kansas City Chiefs
Super Bowl Winner Odds: +550
After losing to the Detroit Lions in Week 1, the Kansas City Chiefs have won four straight games. The Chiefs offense has surged over the last few weeks, which has brought them back up to second in our power rankings. Kansas City is a bit of a work in progress as far as their receiving corps is concerned, but they will be fine and we expect them to contend for another Super Bowl this season.
1. San Francisco 49ers
Super Bowl Winner Odds: +350
The number one team in our NFL power rankings is the San Francisco 49ers. San Francisco is now 5-0 and has yet to be tested by any of their opponents, including the Dallas Cowboys, who the Niners blew out on Sunday Night Football last week. The Niners have been great on both sides of the ball to start the season, and there is no reason to believe that will change anytime soon.
