New England Patriots at Seattle Seahawks – NFL Week 2 Odds, Pick & Prediction

The two best teams of the 2010’s meet up again on Sunday, September 20, 2020 when the New England Patriots (1-0) visit the Seattle Seahawks (1-0) on Sunday Night Football. Both teams got off to encouraging starts and will be looking to start 2020 2-0. This game will air live on NBC at 8:20 p.m. EST.

Last season, the New England Patriots finished 12-4, won the AFC East, and were the three seed in the AFC playoffs. A final day loss to the Miami Dolphins cost the Patriots a first-round bye. The Patriots ended up losing the Wild Card game 20-13 to the Tennessee Titans.

The Seattle Seahawks the 2019 regular season with an 11-5 record, second in the NFC East and the five seed in the NFC playoffs. Seattle went into Philly and beat the Eagles 17-9 in the Wild Card game before losing 28-23 at Green Bay in the Divisional round.

Below is my best bet for Week 2 action between the New England Patriots at Seattle Seahawks. All lines are from betMGM Sportsbook.

Betting Odds: New England Patriots at Seattle Seahawks (-4.5): O/U 45 (-110/-110)

New England began a new era with Cam Newton under center and a 21-11 home win against the Miami Dolphins. The Patriots never trailed in this one, but it was a three-point game with as little as five and a half minutes to go. Cam Newton finished the day with 155 passing yards, 75 rushing yards, and two rushing touchdowns. New England totaled 357 total yards of offense and held Miami to just 269 yards on the day. The New England defense picked off Ryan Fitzpatrick three times on Sunday and look to be just as dominant as last season.

The Seattle Seahawks opened their 2020 season with a great 38-35 win at the Atlanta Falcons. Russell Wilson was almost perfect on the day as he went 31-35, passed for 322 yards, threw for four touchdowns, and led the team in rushing with 29 yards. Chris Carson accounted for 66 total yards and had two receiving touchdowns. The Seattle defense had a solid day as they gave up 14 of the 25 points in fourth quarter garbage time. Seattle took a 14-12 lead into the half and extended that to as much as 20 points late in the fourth quarter.

Series History: These two teams have a lot of recent history together and the all-time series is tied at nine wins a piece.

NFL Picks: I think this could be a blowout and I am backing the Seattle Seahawks -4.5 on Sunday Night Football.
