Minnesota Vikings
The Minnesota Vikings come into this game on a two-game winning streak, having beaten the New York Giants last week. With that win, the Vikings remained in the top-two team in the NFC standings. But they need to keep winning to keep their seeding over the final two weeks of the season. That will mean completing a season sweep of the Packers after getting the better of them in Week 1.
If Minnesota is going to accomplish that goal, they are going to need to be better on defense. The Vikings allowed 36 points to the Colts two weeks ago, and let the Giants move the ball on them effectively last week as well. Aaron Rodgers is more than capable of doing the same if the Vikings do not get their defense in order.
Green Bay Packers
The Green Bay Packers rode a furious second half comeback to beat the Miami Dolphins last week, shutting the Dolphins down in the final 30 minutes of that game. They took advantage of a Tua Tagovailoa concussion to run away with the game late, but will have no such advantage in this game against a Vikings team that beat the Packers to start the season.
This week, the Packers offense has a real chance to break out against a Vikings squad that ranks 28th in scoring defense. But their effectiveness will depend largely on the health of Christian Watson, who is questionable going into this game. Without him, Rodgers may not have the weapons he needs to get a key victory this week.
