The Miami Dolphins have overcome plenty of adversity to start this season, going 5-3 despite injuries to multiple quarterbacks early in the year. Here, they hit the road for a second straight week as they face the Chicago Bears. While Chicago has not been great overall this season, they have been competitive at home so far this year. In our NFL picks for Week 9, we look at Dolphins vs Bears in what should be an intriguing inter-conference game.

Dolphins vs Bears Betting Pick
This game will be played at Soldier Field at 1:00 PM ET on Sunday, November 6, 2022.
Why Bet The Dolphins:
✅ So far this season, the Miami Dolphins are 5-0 in games that Tua Tagovailoa has played to completion. Tagovailoa is the league’s highest rated passer so far this season, and leads the league in yards per attempt as well. He is going to continue to roll in this game, as he and the Dolphins passing attack will be too much for the Bears to deal with.
✅ The run defense of the Chicago Bears is simply not good enough to help them cover the number in this contest. They are ranked 31st in the NFL against the run, allowing 156 yards per game on the ground. Miami’s bottom-five rushing attack should be able to get going against them, which will pair nicely with their superior passing attack.

✅ Offensively, the Bears have improved slightly of late, but they are still not nearly good enough at moving the ball through the air to keep up with Miami. Chicago has averaged 126.9 passing yards per game, 20.7 fewer passing yards than the 31st ranked Titans. The passing woes of the Bears will continue in this game and prevent them from beating the spread.
Miami Dolphins
The Miami Dolphins got a comeback win over the Detroit Lions in Week 8, coming back from two touchdowns down to move to 5-3 on the season. The Dolphins shut the Lions out in the second half, outscoring them 14-0 in the final 30 minutes of play. Now the Dolphins will aim for a third straight win to get to 6-3 on the season.
For Miami, the return of Tua Tagovailoa has been huge for their success. Miami is undefeated in games where their starting quarterback has played and has not needed to exit due to an injury. This past week, Tagovailoa connected with Tyreek Hill for 188 yards, and that pairing could push the Dolphins over the top again in this contest.
Chicago Bears
The Chicago Bears were not able to build on the momentum from their Week 7 win against the New England Patriots in their last outing. The Bears lost 49-29 to the Dallas Cowboys, as the Bears could not stop Dak Prescott and the Dallas offense. Here, the Bears hope that being back at home will help their defense get back on track against the Dolphins.
As is the case with the Cowboys, the Dolphins have an elite passing attack. Chicago will need to be much more effective against the pass this week than they were in Arlington. Fortunately for the Bears, they have gone 2-1 at home and could very well make life difficult on Miami here.
