Below is my best bet for Week 9 action between the Las Vegas Raiders and Los Angeles Chargers. All lines are from BetRivers Sportsbook.
Las Vegas Raiders at Los Angeles Chargers (-1.5): O/U 54.0 (-110/-110)
Las Vegas visited the Cleveland Browns and came away with a tough 16-6 victory in terrible conditions. The wind was out of control in this game and neither team could do anything offensively, so this was a gutty win by Las Vegas on Sunday. Hunter Renfroe scored the only touchdown on the day when he hailed in a four-yard pass from Derek Carr. Kicker Daniel Carlson was the story on the day as he went three for four on field goals, and 1/1 on extra points, to power the Raiders to the road win. Running back Josh Jacobs also had himself a day as he rushed the ball 31 times for 128 yards. The Oakland defense held the Browns offense to 223 yards and recovered one fumble.
The Los Angeles Chargers had the most Chargers game possible as they lost at the Denver Broncos 31-30. Los Angeles led this game 24-3 in the third quarter, and 27-17 with under eight minutes to do, but a pass interference in the endzone gave the Broncos one final play to win the game. Drew Lock hit KJ Hamler for a one-yard touchdown as they Broncos walked it off for the win. Quarterback Justin Herbert went 29/43 for 278 yards, three touchdowns, and two interceptions. Wide receiver Mike Williams had a nice day as he hauled in five receptions for 99 yards and one touchdown.
Series History: Las Vegas has won the last two meetings in this matchup and now leads the all-time series 65-54-2.
Free NFL Pick: I like Los Angeles -1.5 to get the win at home.
