The marquee game of the weekend in the Divisional round of the NFL playoffs is Chiefs vs Bills from Orchard Park. These teams have become familiar foes both in the regular season and playoffs over the last few years. This time around, the winner between them will go to the AFC Championship Game, while the loser will see their season come to an end.
Our pick to advance to the AFC Championship Game out of this matchup is the Buffalo Bills, who we like to cover the spread as three-point favorites. Buffalo is on fire coming into this game, having won six games in a row, including games against the Chiefs, Cowboys, and Dolphins. They are 7-2 at home on the year and should continue to operate an elite level in front of the Bills Mafia in this game.
On the other side, there are some serious questions to be answered by the Kansas City Chiefs on the road coming into this contest. The Chiefs have played just one team on the road this season that ended up in the NFL playoffs. That team was the Green Bay Packers, who beat the Chiefs at Lambeau Field. This is the first career playoff road game for Patrick Mahomes and that is cause for concern for Kansas City going into Sunday.
In their previous meeting this season, the Buffalo Bills did not trail against the Kansas City Chiefs. While there is no guarantee that will be the case again in this postseason matchup, the advantage in this Chiefs vs Bills game is squarely with the hosts. Look for Buffalo to move one step closer to their first Super Bowl appearance since their four straight losses in the big game back in the 1990s.
