The final game in Oakland is set for Week 15 and will feature two teams who cannot get to the finish line soon enough. The 4-9 Jacksonville Jaguars, currently on a five game losing streak, travel to the Oakland Coliseum to take on the 6-7 Oakland Raiders who are currently on a three game losing streak.
Jacksonville was sitting at 4-4 and appeared to be right in the playoff race, but since then find themselves in a freefall and in the middle of QB controversy with two QBs who might not be that good. If the season ended today, Jacksonville would have the 7th pick in the 2020 NFL Draft.
Just a few weeks ago Oakland was 6-4 and in prime position to make the playoffs, but not find themselves at 6-7 and two games out of the playoffs at the #9 seed. Oakland would have the 16th pick in the 2020 NFL Draft if the season ended today.
Below is my best bet for the Jacksonville Jaguars at the Oakland Raiders. All lines are from William Hill Sportsbook
Jacksonville Jaguars at Oakland Raiders (-5.5): O/U 45.5 points (-110/-110)
Jacksonville’s miserable end of season run continued last week with a 45-10 home to the Los Angeles Chargers. This game wasn’t even that close as the Chargers took out their starters in the fourth quarter in what could have been a more lopsided loss for Jacksonville. The Jaguars have now lost five games in a row, all by double digits, and appear to be a franchise that will look much different heading into the 2020 season. Jacksonville is 2-4 on the road this season with wins at Denver and Cincy, but notable losses to Houston and Tennessee. The Jags are 5-8 against the spread and the over has hit in seven of their 13 games this season.
The Oakland Raiders poor run of form continued last week with a 42-21 beat down at the hands of the Tennessee Titans. Oakland was in this game at halftime, but were outscored 21-0 in the second half and suffered their third consecutive loss. During this three game losing streak, Oakland has lost by a combined score of 116-33. The Raiders are 5-2 at home this season with notable wins over Chicago and the Chargers, but losses to Tennessee and Kansas City. Oakland is 6-7 against the spread and the over as hit in seven of their 13 games this season.
Series History: Oakland has won three straight games between these two and the series is now tied at 4-4.
ATS Pick: Both these teams are a mess, but I think Oakland shows up for the fans one last time. Back the Raiders -5.5 Sunday.
