Why Bet The Texans:
✅ Houston has been better on defense than the Raiders so far this season. Las Vegas is in the bottom-six in the NFL in scoring defense. They have allowed 26 points per game on the year thus far, and that should help the Texans stay within a possession in this contest.

✅ Las Vegas has been terrible at setting their offense up with sudden change situations. The Raiders have just three takeaways through five games this season. Even though the Texans are not the best offensive team in the league by any stretch of the imagination, they will be able to keep the ball and put up points here.
✅ Houston has been an excellent team against the spread so far this season. They are 3-1-1 against the number through their first five games. As an underdog here, they will once again cover the number whether they win or lose on Sunday.
Houston Texans
Last week, the Houston Texans did not play, as they were on their bye week. The week before that, they upset the Jacksonville Jaguars in Jacksonville to get their first win of the season. This week, the Texans will look to put their week off to good use with a win over the Raiders coming off of the bye.
For the Texans, an improved running game will be important to their success in this contest. Dameon Pierce has 230 rushing yards in the last two games for the Texans. If he can keep chewing up yardage on the ground, it will force the Raiders to commit their defense to doing more than just rushing the quarterback.
Las Vegas Raiders
The Las Vegas Raiders are also coming off of their bye week going into this contest. Their most recent game was their heartbreaking loss to the Kansas City Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium. But there were some positives that came from that loss, as the Raiders’ vertical passing attack prospered against the Chiefs.
Davante Adams had just three catches against the Chiefs. But those three catches went for 124 yards and two touchdowns. Adams has 225 receiving yards over the Raiders’ last two games. Against a Texans team that gives up over 400 yards per game, Adams could be in for another big afternoon to help the Raiders pick up win number two on the season.
