Head to Head
Teams Last 10
This game will be played at US Bank Stadium at 1:00 PM ET on Sunday, October 9, 2022.
Why Bet The Bears:
✅ The Vikings have the kind of defense that the Bears might be able to take advantage of on Sunday. They are ranked 27th in yards per game allowed, and 23rd in rushing yards per game allowed. The Bears struggle to move the ball through the air, but their rushing attack should be able to get going in this contest to make it a competitive afternoon.

✅ There is not quite as big a difference between these teams as public perception would lead you to believe. The Vikings average 0.4 yards per play more than the Bears so far this season, but the Bears are 0.4 yards per play better on defense. This contest is more evenly matched than most would anticipate, and it could come down to the wire.
✅ Minnesota is 1-3 against the spread so far this season, with their lone cover coming in Week 1 against the Packers. Since then, they have failed to cover the spread against the Eagles, Lions, and a banged up Saints team. Expect that trend to continue for the Vikings, which will benefit Bears bettors on Sunday afternoon.
Chicago Bears
The Chicago Bears once again could not get their offense in gear last week, losing a low-scoring affair against the New York Giants. Chicago was held to 12 points, with Justin Fields throwing for under 200 yards in the loss. This week, the Bears hope for more progress from their passing game, as it is the pass defense of the Bears that will be tested more than anything.
Chicago will be tasked with slowing down a Vikings passing attack that is elite when at its best. Taking away Justin Jefferson will be the top priority for Chicago, as Jefferson is coming off of a huge game against the Saints in London. If they can do that, this game could stay close and go down to the wire in Minneapolis.
Minnesota Vikings
The Minnesota Vikings go into this Bears vs Vikings matchup having played in London in Week 4. There, they beat the New Orleans Saints by a field goal, benefiting from a missed Wil Lutz field goal at the end of regulation to hold onto a three-point victory. This week, the Vikings will look from more from their defense after they struggled to contain a Saints offense led by Andy Dalton.
Run defense is going to be the most important factor for the Vikings in this contest by a wide margin. Chicago has made it clear that throwing the football is not a high priority of theirs so far this season. While there is the possibility that the Bears open up their playbook to some extent, stopping the run on early downs will put the Bears in passing situations that they have shown no desire to be in.
