Why Bet The Seahawks:
✅ Sam Darnold is set to start at quarterback this week for the Panthers, and that is terrible news for Carolina. Darnold completed just 11 of his 19 passes in his first game of the year against the Broncos. He will struggle again here to the benefit of the Seahawks.
✅ Meanwhile, Geno Smith is playing at an incredibly high level once again for the Seahawks. He is completing over 70% of his passes over the last four games for Seattle. He will stay hot here and help his team get another win.
✅ All of a sudden, the Seahawks have the NFC West title back in their sights thanks to the injury to Jimmy Garoppolo of the 49ers. Expect a seriously motivated Seahawks team here as they are not only playing for postseason positioning, but could host a playoff game if they keep winning thanks to the Niners’ QB situation.

Carolina Panthers
Last week the Carolina Panthers had their bye week, as they were one of just two teams with the week off in Week 13. That bye week was clearly an interesting one, as the team decided to get rid of Baker Mayfield and go with Sam Darnold as their starting quarterback. We will see how that decision goes for them on the road against the Seahawks, which is not an easy place for Darnold to get the nod.
For the Panthers, the question in this game is if they can get their running game going well enough to offset their quarterback issues. D’Onta Foreman has been great since the Panthers traded Christian McCaffrey away, and he takes on a soft Seahawks run defense here. That could be Carolina’s path to victory on Sunday.
Seattle Seahawks
The Seattle Seahawks played a closer game than anticipated against the Los Angeles Rams, but they got the job done in Week 13. Geno Smith led a late touchdown drive to win at SoFi Stadium, moving the Seahawks to 7-5 on the season. Now, the Seahawks look to keep pressure on the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC West, as the Niners are relying on a third string quarterback for the rest of the season.
For the Seahawks, the question going into this game is whether their defense can step up and make things easier on the offense in this contest. Seattle is 31st in the NFL against the run this year, and a bad day against the run here could bail out Sam Darnold and give the Panthers a chance to deal the Seahawks a crucial blow.
