Panthers vs Cardinals Betting Pick
This game will be played at State Farm Stadium at 4:05 PM ET on Sunday, November 14, 2021.
Why Bet The Cardinals:
✅ Kyler Murray missed last week’s game with his ankle injury, with the Cardinals still winning that game with Colt McCoy a week ago. Here, no matter who plays quarterback for Arizona, they will be better than the signal caller for Carolina as Sam Darnold is losing the support of his organization thanks to his poor play this season.
✅ Arizona has lost just one time this season, with that loss coming on a last-second red zone interception against the Packers. The Cardinals have the best point differential in the NFL, and the second best scoring offense behind the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on the season. They will beat a Carolina team that is just 4-5 ATS on the season by double digits.

✅ Carolina’s offensive line suffered a major blow last week when they lost Matt Paradis for the remainder of the season with a torn ACL. While JJ Watt is gone for the season in Arizona, Chandler Jones and the rest of the Arizona defense has done an adequate job of getting after the quarterback and should put plenty of pressure on Darnold.
Carolina Panthers
Carolina was one of the more disappointing teams in the NFL last week, as they dropped to 4-5 with a loss against the New England Patriots at home. The Panthers scored just six points in that game, with Sam Darnold throwing three interceptions and zero touchdowns in the loss. Now Panthers coach Matt Rhule is being asked if Darnold is still the answer at quarterback for his team.
The options behind Darnold aren’t all that impressive for the Panthers, with the best of their backup quarterbacks being former XFL standout PJ Walker. Walker was arguably the best player in the 2020 reboot of the XFL with the Houston Roughnecks, but his case to replace Darnold as the starter in Carolina isn’t all that strong. Either way, the quarterback play in Carolina isn’t expected to blow anyone away this week against Arizona.
Arizona Cardinals
Despite being without Kyler Murray due to an ankle injury last week, the Arizona Cardinals beat up on the San Francisco 49ers in a division game on the road. In the 31-17 victory, Colt McCoy filled in at quarterback, throwing one touchdown pass and not throwing an interception to keep the Cardinals moving in the right direction. James Conner was the real star for the Arizona offense, though, scoring two touchdowns on the ground.
This week, the Cardinals enter as a substantial favorite even with Murray’s status being up in the air for the game. But the Cardinals have to look at what happened across the NFL last week as a warning as they prepare for the Panthers. With multiple double-digit favorites losing outright, there is no such thing as an easy victory in the NFL.
