Baltimore Ravens at Houston Texans – NFL Week 2 Odds, Pick & Prediction

Two of the more exciting quarterbacks in the league do battle Sunday, September 20, 2020, when the Baltimore Ravens (1-0) visit the Houston Texans (0-1). Baltimore started off their 2020 season with a dominant win over the Cleveland Browns, while the Texans suffered an opening week loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. This game will air live on CBS at 4:25 p.m. EST.

The Baltimore Ravens had a dream 2019 regular season that saw them finish 14-2, win the AFC North, clinch the top seed the AFC playoffs, and saw QB Lamar Jackson win the MVP award. However, all the love for Baltimore quickly went away when the lost, at home, in the Divisional round to the Tennessee Titans.

Houston finished 2019 with a 10-6 record, won the AFC South, and earned the fourth seed in the AFC playoffs. The Texans beat the Buffalo Bills, in OT, in the Wild Card round, but blew a 24-point lead and lost to the Kansas City Chiefs in the Divisional round.

Below is my best bet for Week 2 action between the Baltimore Ravens and Houston Texans. All lines are from betMGM Sportsbook.

Betting Odds: Baltimore Ravens (-6.5) at Houston Texans: O/U 52.5 (-110/-110)

The Baltimore Ravens picked up right where the left off last regular season as they opened with a dominant 38-6 win over the Cleveland Browns. It was a 10-6 game at the end of the first quarter, but 28 unanswered points allowed Baltimore to cruise to the win. Reigning MVP Lamar Jackson did not skip a beat as he threw for 275 yards, and three touchdowns, and led the team with 45 rushing yards. Marquise Brown led the team with five catches for 101 yards, while tight end Mark Andrews hauled in two touchdowns. The Baltimore defense also came to play as they held the Browns to 306 yards of offense and forced three turnovers.

Houston played in the season opening game and suffered a 34-20 loss at the reigning Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs. The score line is flattering to Houston as Kansas City was in complete control most of this game and were never in doubt of winning. Houston did lead 7-0 late in the first quarter, but 31 unanswered points for Kansas City blew this one wide open. DeShaun Watson threw for 253 yards, and one touchdown, and rushed for another 27 yards and one touchdown. David Johnson led the team with 77 rushing yards and one touchdown, while Will Fuller pulled in eight receptions for 112 yards.

Series History: Baltimore has won two straight games and leads the all-time series 9-2.
