Atlanta Falcons at Dallas Cowboys – NFL Week 2 Odds, Pick & Prediction

A game that should produce plenty of points is on the schedule for Sunday, September 20, 2020, when the Atlanta Falcons (0-1) visit the Dallas Cowboys (0-1). Both teams have prolific offenses, even if Dallas didn’t show it week one, and neither wants to start 2020 with an 0-2 record. This game will air live on FOX at 1:00 p.m. EST.

The Atlanta Falcons started the season 1-7 and never had a chance to get out of the whole they dug for themselves. Still, Atlanta finished with a 7-9 record, second in the NFC South, and finished as the 10th seed in the NFC. Another disappointing season for the Atlanta Falcons.

Dallas lost a late season game to the Philadelphia Eagles and that cost Big D a shot at the playoffs last year. The Cowboys finished with an 8-8 record, second in the NFC East, and as the ninth seed in the NFC.

Below is my best bet for Week 2 action between the Atlanta Falcons and Dallas Cowboys. All lines are from betMGM Sportsbook.

Betting Odds: Atlanta Falcons at Dallas Cowboys (-5): O/U 52 (-110/-110)

Atlanta opened their season with a disappointing 38-25 home loss to the Seattle Seahawks. The game was 14-12 at the half, but a 14-0 third quarter for the Seahawks put this one away. Seattle led by as much as 20 points late in the fourth quarter. Matt Ryan balled out with 450 yards and two touchdowns and Atlanta had three receivers go over 100 yards. Julio Jones led the team with nine receptions for 157 yards, Calvin Ridley also had nine catches for 130 yards and two touchdowns, and Russell Gage had a nine catch 114-yard performance. The Atlanta defense could not contain Russell Wilson as the future hall of famer went 31-35 for 322 yards and four touchdowns.

Dallas opened their season in Southern California and suffered a 20-17 loss to the Los Angeles Rams. Neither team had trouble moving the ball on offense, but they could not finish drives off with touchdowns. Dallas finished with 380 total yards and Los Angeles totaled 422 yards. Dak Prescott finished with 266 passing yards and one touchdown, while Ezekiel Elliott total 127 total yards and two touchdowns. Amari Cooper led the Dallas receivers with 10 receptions for 81 yards. The Dallas defense forced one Jared Goff interception.

Series History: Dallas won the last meeting back in 2018 and now leads the all-time series 17-11.

NFL Picks: I think a lot of points get scored in this one, so I am taking over 52 points.
