This game will be played at SoFi Stadium at 4:25 PM ET on Sunday, October 30, 2022.
Why Bet The 49ers:
✅ San Francisco already beat the Rams this season, keeping the Rams out of the end zone in a 24-9 Niners victory. They forced two turnovers in that contest, and did not commit any turnovers of their own. Here, the San Francisco defense will bounce back nicely from their performance against the Kansas City Chiefs, shutting the Rams down again en route to a season sweep.

✅ Matthew Stafford has been a shell of himself this season compared to last year. Stafford has thrown eight interceptions through six games so far this season. That is the second highest interception total in the league this year, with only Matt Ryan throwing more. Stafford’s struggles will continue here against one of the best defenses in the league.
✅ The 49ers are likely to have more fans in attendance than the Rams for this game, despite the game being held at SoFi Stadium. That was the case in last year’s NFC Championship Game, and is likely to be the case again here as the Rams have struggled early in the season. Expect a pro-Niners crowd to make things even worse for the Rams this year.
San Francisco 49ers
The San Francisco 49ers lost at home last week, as they could not stop the Kansas City Chiefs in a 44-23 loss. They allowed Patrick Mahomes to throw for over 400 yards in that game, including 124 yards to Juju Smith-Schuster. San Francisco struggled to stop Smith-Schuster, Travis Kelce, and Mecole Hardman, and will need to be better against Cooper Kupp and the Rams here.
It will be interesting to see how much action Christian McCaffrey sees in this game, after he saw limited action in his first week as a 49er last week. McCaffrey had 10 touches for 62 yards from scrimmage, and is likely to factor more heavily into the 49ers offense this week.
Los Angeles Rams
The Los Angeles Rams had their bye week in Week 7, which could not have come at a better time for the 3-3 team. The Rams might not have an easy game left on their schedule this season, and need to get things in order before diving back in against the 49ers. If they want to be better in this game than they were the last time they played the 49ers, Los Angeles needs its running game to help Matthew Stafford.
Los Angeles got 57 rushing yards as a team against the Niners in Santa Clara earlier this year. If they want to avoid a regular season sweep at the hands of the Niners, they cannot afford to put the entire offensive workload on Matthew Stafford’s shoulders once again.
