Head to Head
Teams Last 10
This game will be played at Hard Rock Stadium at 8:20 PM ET on Sunday, October 23, 2022.
Why Bet The Under:
✅ The Pittsburgh offense has consistently been one of the worst in the NFL this season through six weeks. They are tied for the worst yards per play average in the NFL this year, averaging 4.8 yards per play through their first six games. Against a solid Miami defense on the road, the Steelers will continue to struggle to put points on the board in this matchup.

✅ Miami’s offense is facing all kinds of questions right now thanks to the health of their quarterbacks. Tua Tagovailoa’s status is uncertain after sustaining a concussion, Teddy Bridgewater is recently returned from a concussion, and Skylar Thompson has been ineffective when he has seen the field. There are no ideal quarterback answers for Miami right now, which is great for the under.
✅ Both of these teams have seen the majority of their games go under the over/under numbers this season. They have both gone under the total in four of their first six games of the season, and their current quarterback situations do not give much indication of that trend changing on Sunday night.
Pittsburgh Steelers
Last week, the Pittsburgh Steelers pulled one of the great upsets of the 2022 NFL season. They beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers outright at home, holding the Buccaneers offense in check in a 20-18 victory. More impressive was the fact that they did so with Kenny Pickett exiting the game due to injury in the second half, with Mitch Trubisky returning to help them close things out.
Pickett’s status is uncertain as of early in the week for the Steelers going into Week 7. Either way, they will be playing a banged up Pickett or an ineffective Trubisky. Those are not ideal circumstances, meaning that the Steelers defense needs to step up no matter who is under center.
Miami Dolphins
In Week 6, the Miami Dolphins could not win at home against the Minnesota Vikings. Their offense let them down in a 24-16 loss, as the quarterback health issues for the Dolphins once again hurt them. In this contest, the Dolphins will look for more from their offense, while they hope to lock down the struggling offense of the Steelers.
This is a tough spot in the season for the Dolphins, as they are a top-five offense in terms of yards per play. But without Tua Tagovailoa to reliably deliver the ball deep to weapons like Tyreek Hill, they are so much less dangerous than they were at the beginning of the season. Miami has to find a way to make up for their issues pushing the ball downfield until Tagovailoa is good to go once again, starting with this week against Pittsburgh.
