Miami Dolphins Sports Betting Promo Codes & Bonuses
The Miami Dolphins were an exciting team for much of the 2023 NFL season, but they couldn’t win a game in the postseason, as they were cut down on Wild Card weekend in a cold Kansas City. This year, NFL betting interest on the Dolphins is going to be big again, thanks to their potent passing attack. Miami Dolphins Betting Preview
Last year, the Miami Dolphins went 11-6, but that was not good enough to win the AFC East. As a result, they had to travel to Kansas City on Wild Card weekend, where they were beaten by the eventual Super Bowl champion Chiefs. This year, the Dolphins will hope for another big regular season, but with more playoff success to go with it. Here, we look at the upcoming season for Miami in our 2024 Miami Dolphins season preview.

Offseason Transactions
Key Additions: Odell Beckham Jr., Jonnu Smith, Shaq Barrett, Calais Campbell, Jordyn Brooks, Kendall Fuller, Marcus Maye, Jordan Poyer
Key Departures: Chase Claypool, Robert Hunt, Justin Houston, Melvin Ingram, Emmanuel Ogbah, Andrew Van Ginkel, Raekwon Davis, Jerome Baker, Eli Apple, Xavien Howard
For the most part, the Miami Dolphins stood pat on the offensive side of the ball in the offseason. But their defense saw some interesting changes made. Some key players on that side of the ball are gone, including one of the better corners in football in Xavien Howard. But they brought in some players who could be very good there like Jordyn Brooks and Jordan Poyer, who comes from the Bills, hurting a division rival while helping Miami at the same time.

Miami is so dangerous offensively as currently constructed. They were the number-two scoring offense in the league last year and they ranked in the top-two in all major per-play yardage categories on offense. They should be close to that good again this year with Tua Tagovailoa throwing to the same top weapons as last year, including Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle. As long as Tagovailoa stays healthy, the Dolphins will be tough to stop.

On defense, the Dolphins were not as good as they were on offense, but that is a high bar to clear in fairness. Miami was in the bottom-half of the league in scoring defense, but they generated a ton of turnovers. Whether or not that will continue this year remains to be seen, as the Dolphins made some massive changes on this side of the ball that could either help them improve or send them in the wrong direction in a division with a couple of competent quarterbacks lurking.
Positives & Negatives
The passing attack of the Dolphins is easily their biggest positive going into the 2024 season. The connection that Tagovailoa has with Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle is just too much for most defenses to deal with. That isn’t likely to change in 2024, so long as Tagovailoa doesn’t have any health problems that keep him off the field.
However, this team does clearly have problems winning games in cold weather. That means they are under some serious pressure to have a huge regular season that would earn them home-field advantage. If that doesn’t happen, the Dolphins will be forced to play in Buffalo, Baltimore, Cincinnati, or Kansas City at some point in the playoffs, which has not worked out for them in a long time.
2024 Miami Dolphins Win Total Prediction: Over 9.5 Wins
Given what we have seen from the Dolphins on offense in recent years, we will gladly take the over on their season win total. This is a team that is built to run up big offensive numbers against non-playoff opponents. We could see them struggle against elite teams in the postseason, but they should get at least 10 wins to get back to the playoffs in order for us to find out.
