Key Storylines
Both Pittsburgh and Baltimore enter this game at 6–6 and both teams took a loss last week. The Ravens had a winning streak snapped last week at the hands of the Cincinnati Bengals. Pittsburgh has lost three of its last four games, capped by a 26–7 home loss against the Buffalo Bills. That defeat exposed flaws on both sides of the ball, from Pittsburgh’s inability to run effectively to defensive lapses that led to over 240 rushing yards allowed.
In addition, health and roster concerns should also help give the advantage to Baltimore. The Steelers are missing defensive tackle Derrick Harmon, and have their cornerback James Pierre in concussion protocol, with linebacker Patrick Queen also questionable. Given those issues up front and in the secondary, the Ravens’ run‑heavy attack and physical style could dominate the line of scrimmage.
Quarterback Play
Pittsburgh has Aaron Rodgers at quarterback, which has meant more passing production. Rodgers has thrown for 2,086 yards, 19 touchdowns, and 7 interceptions this season. But his performance against Buffalo was rough. Rodgers managed just 117 yards and exited briefly after a hit, with backup Mason Rudolph throwing an interception in relief. Rodgers will need to be better for Pittsburgh to keep pace with a Ravens offense led by Lamar Jackson.
Jackson has battled injuries throughout this season. He can make plays with his arm and his legs, and Baltimore’s offense has enough weapons on the ground and through the air to pressure Pittsburgh’s shaky run defense. But Jackson struggled against the Bengals last week and needs to step up to help his team get a huge win here.

Final Thoughts
I am going to lay the points with the Ravens in this matchup for first place in the AFC North. Neither team has inspired much confidence with its offense of late. But I think that the Ravens are better equipped to change that at home, while Aaron Rodgers looks banged up and to be struggling of late.
