The last time we saw the Tennessee Titans in a competitive NFL game, they were beaten at home as the top seed in the AFC playoffs. In the offseason, they made several changes to their roster, and will hope that those changes do not hold them back against a Giants team that was not competitive a year ago. In our NFL betting picks for Sunday, we break down Giants vs Titans from Tennessee, as both of these teams look to play better than they did the last time we saw them.

Head to Head
Teams Last 10
This game will be played at Nissan Stadium at 4:25 PM ET on Sunday, September 11, 2022.
Why Bet The Titans:
✅ The New York Giants were one of the worst teams in the NFL against the spread last year. They went 6-11 against the number in 2021. And while some of that can be attributed to their choice to hold Daniel Jones out down the stretch, they are relying on a rookie head coach in Brian Daboll and still have a quarterback that is simply not good enough to be a winner at this level in Daniel Jones. Expect the Titans to take full advantage thanks to their relative continuity.
✅ Derrick Henry is back for the Tennessee Titans for Week 1, after missing a good chunk of last season due to injury. Even with Henry out for an extended period of time, the Titans were a top-10 offense in yards per carry a season ago. They will go back to being one of the better rushing teams in the NFL with their workhorse back in the fold once again.

✅ Tennessee’s losses at the wide receiver position are not as important as they are perceived to be by many. A.J. Brown was a great player as a Titan, but had injury issues toward the end of his time with the team. Treylon Burks will be a nice replacement for the Titans as a rookie, and the Titans should be able to beat the lowly Giants with the receiving corps being less of a concern than anticipated.
New York Giants
Last season was a horror show for the New York Giants, who finished in last place in the NFC East. Daniel Jones was not great when he was on the field, but he was off the field for the bulk of the year due to a combination of injuries and late season tanking by the Giants. This season, Joe Judge is out as the Giants head coach, while former Bills offensive coordinator Brian Daboll is in. And Daboll and the Giants face a tough test to kick this season off.
New York’s NFC representatives have been respectable defensively in recent seasons, but their offense has simply not been good enough since taking Daniel Jones to play quarterback. The Giants ranked next to last in the NFL in points per game last season, and were not good enough with the ball even when Jones was on the field. This year is going to go a long way in deciding whether Jones is a viable option at quarterback under the new regime for the Giants, starting with this Giants vs Titans contest in Nashville.
Tennessee Titans
Mike Vrabel is clearly building something special in Tennessee, as evidenced by last year’s run to the top seed in the AFC. But the Tennessee Titans have fallen short in the playoffs during the Vrabel era, losing at home in the Divisional round to the Cincinnati Bengals to end last season. Here, the Titans will look to avoid any sort of hangover after their disappointing postseason when they take on the Giants at home in a game they will be expected to win.
In this contest, it is worth keeping an eye on the performance of the Titans run defense against the Giants. Saquon Barkley is back for the Giants for this game, but the Titans ranked top-five in the NFL in yards per carry allowed last year. If they can hold Barkley in check and force Jones into third and long passing situations, the Titans could have a straightforward day at the office in Week 1.
