AFC West rivals will meet in a battle of first versus worst in that division on Sunday. The Denver Broncos have been a massive disappointment this season, while the Kansas City Chiefs are playing up to their usually high standards. In our NFL betting picks for Sunday’s Week 14 action, we break down Chiefs vs Broncos from the Mile High City.
Chiefs vs Broncos Betting Pick

This game will be played at Empower Field at Mile High at 4:05 PM ET on Sunday, December 11, 2022.
Why Bet The Under:
✅ The Broncos offense, it may be safe to say, is not turning around at any point this season. They are dead last in scoring offense this season, putting up just 13.8 points per game. That will help contribute to the under at their home field.
✅ Denver’s defense, however, has been incredible to make up for the shortcomings of their offense. The Broncos rank second in the league in points allowed, giving up 17.0 points per game. They will do enough to keep the Chiefs in check and keep this contest under the total.
✅ Denver Broncos games have gone under the total 11 times in their 12 outings this season. That is the highest percentage of unders in the NFL this season, and it is not particularly close.

Kansas City Chiefs
Last week, the Kansas City Chiefs took a tough loss on the road to the Cincinnati Bengals. That was the third time in the last two seasons that the Chiefs lost to the Bengals, including last year’s AFC Championship Game. This week, the Chiefs will aim to wash the taste of that game out of their mouths with a win over the offensively inept Denver Broncos.
Kansas City has won 13 straight games against the Broncos, dating all the way back to the 2015 NFL season. To extend that streak, they are going to need to figure out ways to put points on the board against the league’s number two scoring defense. Fortunately for Kansas City, finding ways to put up points is what they do best.
Denver Broncos
The Denver Broncos lost a heartbreaking 10-9 game against the Baltimore Ravens last week. Denver knocked Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson out of that game, only to give up a game-winning drive to backup quarterback Tyler Huntley in the fourth quarter. This week, the Broncos are on the wrong side of a huge offensive mismatch against Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs.
It cannot be overstated how big a disappointment Russell Wilson has been this season for the Broncos. He has thrown eight touchdown passes in 12 games for Denver, and has not thrown more than one touchdown pass in a game since October 2 against the Raiders. Denver will need him to have his first big game of the season here to beat the Chiefs.
