Denver Broncos Betting Preview
Last year’s Denver Broncos did not live up to expectations, but those expectations are back for 2023. With Sean Payton set to coach this Broncos team this season, Denver will be expected to take a big leap forward by pairing Payton and Wilson together. Whether or not that will be enough to help the Broncos win a loaded AFC West remains to be seen.

Denver Broncos Picks, Predictions & Betting News
Key Additions: Mike McGlinchey, Ben Powers, Sean Payton
Key Departures: Dre’Mont Jones, Graham Glasgow
The Denver Broncos had an offseason that was not all that eventful from an on-field perspective. But they did bring in a new head coach that is expected to elevate their offense during the 2023 season. Nathaniel Hackett was clearly not qualified to be an NFL head coach, while Payton does have some Super Bowl experience under his belt. The addition of Payton may be overvalued in the betting markets this season, but it does create plenty of intrigue as we wait to see what this Broncos team can do with him in charge.

There may not have been a more disappointing unit in the NFL than the offense of the Denver Broncos in 2022. They really struggled to put points on the board, with Russell Wilson making a ton of costly mistakes in scoring range. That needs to be improved upon this year, and that is not something Payton can do for Wilson. Instead, Wilson needs to cut back on the turnovers by simply making better decisions.

|Takeaways||23 (T-14th)||19 (T-21st)|
On defense, the Denver Broncos were solid last year, even though their defense was put in some bad positions by their lackluster offense. This year, we could see an even better performance from the Broncos on defense with their offense being more likely to be able to keep the ball after ranking 19th in average time of possession a season ago. A little rest could go a long way for the Denver defense in 2023.
Positives & Negatives
A huge positive that is not being talked about much going into the 2023 season for the Broncos is the impending return of Javonte Williams. Williams should get more action this season now that Melvin Gordon isn’t around to steal some of his touches. If he can return a play a good chunk of this season, the Broncos may be more well-rounded, which will also help Russell Wilson improve this season.
On the negative side, we aren’t sure that Sean Payton is going to magically cure the issues of the Denver offense. While we expect things to get better for the Broncos on that side of the ball, things could go sideways in a hurry if Payton does not make them more efficient in that department.
2023 Denver Broncos Win Total Prediction: Over 8.5 Wins
Betting this year’s season win total for the Denver Broncos depends heavily on how a bettor feels about Sean Payton’s impact on this team. We like Payton to help Russell Wilson find himself again, and for the Broncos to win somewhere in the neighborhood of 10 games on the season. Take the over on the Denver season win total, as this team should contend for a Wild Card spot in the AFC.
