NFL Week 2 is here and the late afternoon slate on Sunday delivers a matchup between the Arizona Cardinals and Las Vegas Raiders that features two teams attempting to avoid an 0-2 start on the season. Raiders quarterback Derek Carr playing host to Kyler Murray and the Cards in an all important early season game for two teams needing a win. Here, we put together a Cardinals vs Raiders parlay for this marquee inter-conference contest.
Both the Cards and Raiders lost to an AFC West opponent in their season opener. Arizona lost at home to the Kansas City Chiefs, while the Raiders dropped a divisional game to the Los Angeles Chargers on the road. Now, the two teams will look to climb the standings in their respective divisions in this AFC vs NFC clash.
Today’s preview takes a look at the three best sides, totals, and player props that provide value in Sunday’s marquee late afternoon game in a Cardinals vs Raiders Same Game Parlay ticket.
Pick 1 | Derek Carr Over 281.5 Passing Yards (-114) |
Pick 2 | Davante Adams Over 92.5 Receiving Yards (-114) |
Pick 3 | Kyler Murray Over 250.5 Passing Yards (-114) |
Parlay Odds | +391 ($20 to win 78.26) |
Pick #1: Derek Carr Over 281.5 Passing Yards (-114)
Derek Carr’s 2022 debut was an encapsulation of the quarterback’s career as there were plenty of positives and plenty of negatives from his play against the Chargers. Carr threw for 295 yards and two touchdowns in a productive outing that was unfortunately diminished by three costly interceptions.
Carr’s miscues were caused by the Chargers dominant pass rush as Joey Bosa and Khalil Mack were in the quarterback’s face all afternoon. That type of pressure won’t be there against the Cardinals less impactful pass rush and Carr should take advantage with a far better showing than what we saw from him in Week 1. After throwing for 290+ in an off day, Carr should produce a far better showing against a weaker defense at home.

Pick #2: Davante Adams Over 92.5 Receiving Yards (-114)
Much was made about the connection between Davante Adams and Derek Carr heading into the 2021 season after the wideout left Aaron Rodgers and Green Bay to reunite with his college teammate from his Fresno State days in Las Vegas.
The narratives proved to be true in Week 1 as Adams and Carr connected on ten separate occasions in their first professional game as a duo. Adams made the most of his catches as well, compiling 141 yards along with his first receiving touchdown as a Raider.
Carr and Adams clearly have a special chemistry that head coach Josh McDaniels and the Las Vegas Raiders are looking to cultivate as the focal point of their passing attack. Adams received 17 targets in just one game and if he continues to get that type of workload and opportunity, you have to keep betting his prop overs as the production is likely to follow the amount of targets he receives.

Pick #3: Kyler Murray Over 250.5 Passing Yards (-114)
Murray’s first game after receiving his massive offseason contract was a major disappointment as he was pulled in the fourth quarter with his Arizona Cardinals down big to the Chiefs. When Murray was in the game, he spent most of his day getting pounded by the Chiefs pass rush and failing to do much through the air as a result.
Murray’s statline for the day was a poor 193 passing yards on 22-34 accuracy. If the Cardinals are to upset the Raiders on the road, they will need more from their big money franchise quarterback and they should get a better performance against a Raiders secondary that struggles to stop the pass.
At a reasonable number of 250.5 yards, Murray should cover the passing yards over in this one if he plays the full game as expected. If he doesn’t, the pressure on him will turn up to boiling levels after earning all of that money before the season.

Cardinals vs Raiders Preview
This is the first meeting between the Raiders and Cardinals in four years as this non-conference matchup is a highly rare occurrence. Week 2’s contest is also the first time the Cardinals and Raiders will play with the Silver and Black calling Las Vegas home.
The last meeting between the two teams was in 2018 when the then Oakland Raiders beat the Cardinals 23-21 in a meeting between two bottom feeders of the league that season. Sunday’s game is a pivotal early season test for both teams to prove they won’t be in the bottom half of their divisions this season. Particularly for the Raiders, who need to make every opportunity to secure a win count this season in an AFC West most experts consider as one of the most difficult divisions the NFL has seen in recent years.
Derek Carr is undefeated in home openers since the team moved to Las Vegas at the end of the 2019 season. Carr led the Raiders to a 34-24 win on Monday Night Football in the team’s first ever home game at Allegiant Stadium in 2021 before beating the Baltimore Ravens 33-27 last season to keep the team’s perfect record in season openers in their new home intact.
