This game will be played at Lumen Field at 4:05 PM ET on Sunday, October 16, 2022.
Why Bet The Cardinals:
✅ The defense of the Seahawks has simply not been good enough to back in games like this one. They are allowing 6.6 yards per play, which ranks worst in the league. Seattle is also giving up 30.8 points per game, the second worst average in the NFL. Against a Cardinals offense that is very capable of moving the ball, Seattle’s defense will be its undoing here.

✅ Arizona is, for whatever reason, one of the best road teams in the NFL today. They are 2-0 on the road this season, following a very successful campaign on the road last year. Against a Seattle team with as many flaws as it has, there is no reason to believe that the Cardinals will stop having success at home in this contest.
✅ For all of the offensive success they have had this season, the Seahawks have struggled to keep the ball for long periods of time. They rank 30th in the NFL in time of possession, averaging just over 27 minutes per game with the ball. That is a function of their defense playing so poorly, which will not subside here.
Arizona Cardinals
The Arizona Cardinals lost to the Philadelphia Eagles last week in a game that came down to the wire. Arizona came back from an early deficit, and had a chance to tie the game at the end of regulation. But they missed a field goal in the final seconds that cost them the chance to go to overtime. Here, Arizona will need a quicker start to avoid putting themselves in danger once again.
Arizona has a chance to play its best offensive game of the season against a struggling Seattle defense. Kyler Murray has excelled in late game situations by using his mobility to pick on tired defenses. But he needs to do more early in games to help the Cardinals avoid falling too far behind.
Seattle Seahawks
Last week, the Seattle Seahawks lost to the New Orleans Saints, as their defense let them down once again. Seattle gave up 39 points to the Saints, who beat them with a combination of Andy Dalton and Taysom Hill at quarterback. This week, Seattle will hope to keep its offense performing at a high level, while they need to improve on defense.
Seattle will also need to make up for the loss of Rashaad Penny in the running game this week, as he is lost for the season due to a broken leg. The Seahawks have averaged 122 yards per game on the ground so far this season, but it will be much harder for them to eat up yardage that way without their top running back going forward.
