The ACC is lacking in depth this season, but there have been plenty of surprises over the last couple of years in this league, and we could always find another this year. Here, we look at the ACC championship betting landscape and determine which teams have the best chance to overcome the college football betting odds to win this league and make a run at the College Football Playoff.

ACC Football Championship Odds Preview
There are two teams left with a chance to win the ACC this season: the Florida State Seminoles and Louisville Cardinals. Florida State was set to be a huge favorite to win the ACC title game over Louisville, but a season-ending injury to quarterback Jordan Travis has cast some doubt on the ability of the Seminoles to win the ACC crown. Travis was one of the favorites to win the Heisman Trophy this year before his injury, and FSU will now need to use a backup quarterback if they want to win the conference and stay in the hunt for the College Football Playoff.
As for Louisville, the Cardinals have lost just one game this season, which came in an upset loss to the lowly Pitt Panthers. The Cards have been excellent on defense so far this year, allowing under 20 points per game. Their defense will benefit greatly from the absence of Travis, though the Louisville offense will need to put together its best game of the season to do enough to deliver a win and a conference championship. Florida State is a favorite in the title game, but by under a field goal, in a game that could go either way.
ACC Divisions
There are no longer divisions in the ACC, as the conference got rid of them given the number of teams in the league at this point. That change has been a net positive for the ACC, as the two teams with the best conference record have made the conference title game without any divisions to restrict which teams are going to compete for the title.
ACC Conference Football Betting & Handicapping
Clemson had made seven of the past eight ACC championship games and won all seven they appeared in prior to this season. Florida State won three in a row prior to that. Clemson also won in 2011 behind Tajh Boyd and blew out Virginia Tech in the process. Pitt took advantage of a Clemson transition season and won their first ACC title in 2021, but this conference has largely belonged to two teams in its recent history.
Even with week-to-week handicapping in this league, there are so many inconsistent teams that anybody can beat anybody, with the exception of Clemson and FSU. Even Miami and Pitt, despite being big favorites over most teams in the recent past, are not foolproof to bet on a game-by-game basis.
