Why Bet On Washington:
✅ Utah has had a disastrous Pac-12 basketball season, winning just four games in conference play this year. Those four wins all came against teams that are in the bottom-four in the conference with them. The Utes have beaten California twice, along with Oregon State and Stanford once each. Given that they have yet to beat a team outside of that bottom-four, the Huskies should be able to take care of business here.
✅ Washington has won both of the matchups between these teams so far this season, beating the Utes by six on the road and by four at home. Getting the Huskies at just a one-possession point spread here is a good move, as they have proven that they can keep the Utes to at least a two-possession difference in their previous games this year.

✅ The Huskies will have the best player on the floor in this game in the event that things remain close late. Terrell Brown Jr. is averaging over 21 points per game and is doing so on an efficient 45% shooting clip. He will be able to guide the Huskies through any difficult moments in this game, as he has done for much of this season.
Utah Utes
The Utah Utes come into the Pac-12 tournament on a three-game losing streak after dropping three straight home games to finish out their regular season. Those losses came against Arizona, Arizona State, and Colorado, who range from elite teams to middle of the pack squads in the conference. Utah simply has not had the quality to beat anyone but the cellar dwellers of the Pac-12 this year.
If the Utes want that to change against Washington in this contest, they are going to need to find a spark on the offensive end. Utah has broken 80 points just once in conference play this season, with that coming against an Oregon State team that has just three total wins on the season. The Utes may not need 80 to beat Washington, but would need to get close to avoid a first round exit in Las Vegas.
Washington Huskies
Washington comes into the Pac-12 tournament as the favorite in this game to advance to the second round. They have a 2-0 record against Utah so far this season, which is an encouraging sign for the Huskies. But they will need to play just as well against Utah as they did the first two times, or they could be heading home themselves after round one.
For Washington, having Terrell Brown Jr. is such an advantage in a game like this. The Utes do not have a consistently dominant scoring option that they can rely on when things are tight, while the Huskies have one of the top playmakers in the Pac-12. The question for this game is whether Brown can come out in rhythm right away, to make things as easy as possible on the Huskies so they can be fresh for the rest of the tournament.
