TCU Horned Frogs – Nobody Get Hurt
TCU played Kansas State in the quarterfinals and comfortably won 80-67. The Horned Frogs seem to always play the Wildcats in this tournament, and they generally have their number. With wins over Texas Tech, Texas, and Kansas State over the past two weeks, TCU is healthy and ready to make a run in March.
The Horned Frogs hosted the Longhorns just nine days ago and held on for a 75-73 victory. TCU ranks out as the 29th best team in the nation and are 13-10 in their Quad One and Two games this season.
Jerry Palm has TCU as the fifth seed in the Midwest region in his latest Bracketology.
Texas Longhorns – Continue Doing What They Are Doing
Texas played Oklahoma State in the quarterfinals and easily won 61-47. The Cowboys were a no show in this contest, and it was easy going for the Longhorns all night. Texas has wins over #3 Kansas and the Cowboys over the past week and are ready to continue this fantastic season.
The Longhorns hosted TCU way back in early January and used a big second half to win 79-75. Texas ranks out as the ninth best team in the nation, second in the Big 12, and are an impressive 16-8 in Q1 and Q2 games.
Texas is a two seed in the South region in Jerry Palm’s latest Bracketology.
