Eastern Michigan is one of four teams entering Tuesday with a 1-3 record in MAC play so far this year. They are just 4-13 on the year, and are coming off of a 104-67 loss at Akron. Here, they will look to get a win, but even a respectable showing would be a step in the right direction for the Eagles.
For that respectable showing to happen, the Eagles will need Emoni Bates to step up and be a more efficient scorer. He has made just four threes in four MAC games, which would be fine if he were shooting only a handful of them. But Bates is 4/25 from beyond the arc in four conference games and a similar showing here will be nowhere near good enough.
