The IUPUI Jaguars snapped an 11-game losing streak in their last game, beating Green Bay in Horizon League action. That was their first win in conference play this season, and just their second win over a Division I opponent on the year. Here, the Jaguars will look for a second straight win, in a massive upset over the Wright State Raiders.
Their win over Green Bay was a rare instance where the IUPUI defense played at a high level. They allowed just 53 points in that game, taking advantage of the woes of the Phoenix in a big way. Against a much better Wright State team, that kind of defensive performance cannot be counted on again.
Wright State Raiders
Wright State is coming off of an impressive win in their last game, beating Robert Morris by 15 points at home. The Raiders offense performed well in that matchup, scoring 82 points in a game that got the Raiders to 7-7 in Horizon League play for the year. Here, the Raiders are huge favorites, but still need to execute to get a win over the Jaguars.
In their first meeting with IUPUI this season, Wright State shot 50% as a team for the year. Trey Calvin scored 21 points in that game, pacing the Raiders in a fairly straightforward win.
