The Central Michigan Chippewas come into this game at 8-13 overall and 3-5 in conference play. They are coming off of a win over the Western Michigan Broncos their last time out, beating their directional school rivals at home. But the Chippewas have yet to win a game on the road in conference play, something they will look to change in this contest.
For Central Michigan, figuring out how to solve the defense of Kent State will be the key here. The Chippewas have a legitimate threat in Jesse Zarzuela to lead them offensively. But if he is taken away by the Golden Flashes, this could be a long night in Ohio.

Kent State rebounded nicely over the weekend after suffering their first loss in conference play a couple of games ago. The Golden Flashes beat Buffalo in their last outing, getting them to 17-4 overall and 7-1 in conference play. Here, they will rely on their defense to set themselves apart and get to 8-1 in the MAC on the year.
Of course, Kent State is not entirely about their defense either. They have some scoring punch of their own, led by Sincere Carry. Carry is averaging 17.3 points and 5.0 assists per game, and his scoring will be needed if the Golden Flashes are going to cover the big number in this one.
