Raiders vs Jaguars Betting Pick
This game will be played at TIAA Bank Stadium at 1:00 PM ET on Sunday, November 6, 2022.
Why Bet The Raiders:
✅ The Jacksonville Jaguars have been in freefall mode of late, losing five straight games. And it is not as if the Jags have been losing to elite teams. Outside of the Eagles, this streak has consisted of losses to the Texans, Giants, Colts, and Broncos, all of whom are very limited offensively. Against a respectable Raiders offense, expect the slide to continue in Duval County.
✅ It has to be asked whether or not Trevor Lawrence is that good at this point in time. He is completing just 62.5% of his passes, and is averaging just 6.6 yards per pass attempt. That puts him below quarterbacks like Matt Ryan and Jacoby Brissett in that category. While Derek Carr has been far from elite, he is better than Lawrence and should be trusted compared to Lawrence in this spot.

✅ The Jaguars are 2-6 against the spread this season, which is tied for the worst mark against the spread in the NFL this season. Las Vegas is not much better at 3-5, but the Jaguars have been uniquely bad of late and there is no reason to expect that to stop this week against a Raiders team that can move the ball.
Las Vegas Raiders
The Las Vegas Raiders were shut out in Week 8 by the New Orleans Saints. Derek Carr had just 101 passing yards as the Raiders failed to break 200 total yards of offense as a team. This week, the Raiders will attempt to put the pieces back together offensively against a Jaguars team that is in a complete tailspin.
If the Raiders want their third win of the season this week, they need to do better getting the ball to Davante Adams. Adams caught one ball for three yards against the Saints. If he is not more productive, the Raiders could easily suffer an embarrassing loss to the Jags this week.
Jacksonville Jaguars
For the Jacksonville Jaguars, Week 8 was yet another loss, as they dropped their fifth straight contest. The Denver Broncos beat them 21-17 in London, with the Jaguars blowing an early 10-0 lead and meekly falling apart in the second half. Here, Jacksonville returns home from London, and it will be interesting to see if their travel negatively impacts them.
Jacksonville struggled to stop the passing game of the Broncos in London. That is alarming given just how bad the Broncos have been at moving the ball through the air. That could bode poorly for them against a Las Vegas team that has weapons in the passing game, even if they don’t have much else right now.
