Why Bet The Jaguars:
✅ The Giants have the better record coming into this game, but the Jaguars have been the better team in several statistical categories coming into this contest. Jacksonville is superior in per play yardage metrics on both sides of the ball, and they are better than their record has shown this season. We are not falling for the bait line here with the Giants, and going with the Jaguars instead.

✅ This is not an ideal matchup for the Giants, who hang their hats on running the football offensively. The Giants average 163 rushing yards per game through Week 6, which ranks fourth in the NFL on the season. But the Jaguars have the third best run defense in the NFL, allowing just 89.3 yards per game on the ground. Expect the Jaguars to slow down the Giants’ rushing attack en route to a home win.
✅ Trevor Lawrence has been a superior quarterback between the two quarterbacks in this matchup. On the season, he has eight touchdown passes to four interceptions, while Daniel Jones has just three touchdown passes through six weeks. And with the Giants’ receiving corps still being a huge problem for them, the Jags’ run defense will force the Giants to play a style they are not comfortable with.
New York Giants
The best story in the NFL through six weeks is the New York Giants, who are 5-1 on the season after being expected to be among the worst teams in the NFL. Head coach Brian Daboll has really taken advantage of a limited offensive group, with the running game of the Giants making up for their clear issues through the air. Here, the Giants will look to run to a fourth straight win, and a sixth victory in seven games.
In this Giants vs Jaguars game, New York will need to figure out a way to move the ball with their passing attack. The Giants rank 31st in the NFL in passing yards per game, with only the Chicago Bears averaging fewer yards per game through the air. Against a Jacksonville team that is strong against the run, this game may require more from Daniel Jones with his arm than his legs for the first time in a few weeks.
Jacksonville Jaguars
In Week 6, the Jacksonville Jaguars had a real chance to come away with a win on the road against the Indianapolis Colts. But they failed to stop the Colts offense down the stretch, costing themselves a win that would have put them at an even 3-3 on the season. Because of that, the Jaguars face a very important Week 7 contest, as a loss would drop them to a position at 2-5 that would put them in a real hole in the playoff race in the AFC.
While the Giants’ passing offense will be the key to their success, the running game of the Jaguars will be the key to theirs. The Giants rank in the bottom-five in run defense this season, and that should give Travis Etienne an opportunity to put up some big numbers in Duval County in Week 7.
