On Sunday, AFC rivals will meet in Las Vegas, as the New England Patriots visit the Las Vegas Raiders. This is also a matchup worth paying attention to in the coaching department, as Bill Belichick will coach against one of his former assistants in Josh McDaniels. This game will be played at Allegiant Stadium at 4:05 PM ET on Sunday, December 18, 2022.
Why Bet the Raiders:
✅ Raiders receiver Davante Adams has been on fire at home of late. He has three touchdowns in his last two home games, and the Raiders will continue to get the most out of him at Allegiant Stadium this week.
✅ New England is simply not as good as it looked last week against the Arizona Cardinals. They needed a Kyler Murray injury to get out in front in that game, and were locked into a close contest until a fumble return for a touchdown opened up the floodgates.
✅ Las Vegas is 5-8 this season, but they have a winning record at home. They are 3-2 at home on the year, and would be 4-1 if they hadn’t blown a 20-point lead at home against the Cardinals early in the year.

New England Patriots
The New England Patriots are coming off of a win on Monday Night Football against the Arizona Cardinals. However, they were fortunate not to have to face the best version of the Cardinals in that contest. Kyler Murray suffered a non-contact knee injury in that game, allowing the Patriots to pick on Colt McCoy in the latter stages.
In this game, the Patriots are not likely to face a backup quarterback again. Instead, they will have to find ways to limit the combination of Derek Carr, Josh Jacobs, and Davante Adams. While Bill Belichick is more than capable of doing that, he has proven less capable of getting his offense up and running in a consistent way.
Las Vegas Raiders
The Las Vegas Raiders suffered a brutal loss on Thursday Night Football last week against the Los Angeles Rams. Up two possessions late in the fourth quarter, the Raiders allowed two Baker Mayfield touchdown drives to blow that game and drop to 5-8 on the season. Here, the Raiders return home and will hope to hold onto any lead they may generate in this contest.
For the Raiders, the recipe in this game and every game is simple. Their goal is to keep the ball in the hands of Josh Jacobs and Davante Adams. Adams is coming off of a 71-yard game, which is disappointing by his standards. Look for the Raiders to try and get him more than the three catches he had in Week 14.
