Vikings vs Commanders Betting Pick
This game will be played at FedEx Field at 1:00 PM ET on Sunday, November 6, 2022.
Why Bet The Commanders:
✅ Washington is near the bottom of the league in yards per play this season, averaging 4.9 yards per play on the year. But they have been better with Taylor Heinicke at quarterback, averaging 5.3 yards per play over the last three games. That is very close to Minnesota’s 5.4 yards per play this season, and the improved Commanders offense should keep this game close at home.
✅ Defense is the huge advantage point for the Commanders over the Vikings. Washington has allowed 5.5 yards per play this season, and 4.9 yards per play in their last three outings. Compared to Minnesota’s 6.0 yards per play allowed on the year, the Commanders should be better equipped to hold their opponent in check.

✅ Minnesota has won five straight games, but they have just a 3-4 record against the spread on the season. Washington is just a .500 team against the number themselves, but the numbers for the Vikings give very little reason to blindly bet the Vikings on the road here.
Minnesota Vikings
The Minnesota Vikings got their fifth straight win in Week 8, moving to 6-1 with a victory over the Arizona Cardinals. It was the offense of the Vikings that did the bulk of the work for them, but the Vikings got the late stops that they needed to secure that game. Here, the Vikings will look for a sixth straight win, but will have to go on the road to get it.
Minnesota’s pass defense will need to be better if they are going to get another win here. They allowed over 300 passing yards to Kyler Murray in their last outing, including over 150 yards to DeAndre Hopkins. Washington has some weapons of their own with players like Terry McLaurin, and Minnesota has to be sharper from the start to avoid dropping their first game since Week 2.
Washington Commanders
Heading into this Vikings vs Commanders matchup, the Washington Commanders have some momentum of their own built up. They have won three straight games, including an incredible comeback win over the Indianapolis Colts this past week. During that game, the Commanders trailed by nine points in the fourth quarter, but turned things around in the final minutes with 10 unanswered points.
This week, the Commanders will need to focus on containing the passing attack of the Vikings above all else. While Dalvin Cook broke the 100-yard mark on the ground last week, it is Justin Jefferson that will be the top priority for Washington on the defensive side of the ball here.
