Monday Night Football returns this week with quarterback Russell Wilson’s return to face his former team in a Week 1 matchup between the Denver Broncos and the host Seattle Seahawks. The former Seahawks quarterback headed to the place he called home for his entire career, winning a Super Bowl in Seattle before leaving to Colorado in the new offseason. With intrigue both on and off the field for this contest, we have a Broncos vs Seahawks parlay that will certainly be worth putting a bet down on before the game.
With Wilson returning as the opposing quarterback, the rebuilding Seahawks turn to veteran passer Geno Smith as the new lead man in the Pacific Northwest. Once the starter for the New York Jets, Smith has worked himself back into being the number one guy in the NFL after failed stops with the New York Giants and Los Angeles Chargers.
Will Wilson light up the scoreboard in his return? Will Geno make a comeback story statement in Week 1 as the underdog? How will wideouts Jerry Jeudy and Courtland Sutton of the Broncos fare with a much more experienced quarterback in Wilson throwing the football?
There are a lot of variables to consider when looking at the prop market for Monday Night Football or building your Same Game Parlay. Here is our best Same Game Parlay for Monday Night Football’s season opener between the Broncos and Seahawks.
Pick 1 | Denver Broncos moneyline (-300) |
Pick 2 | Russell Wilson over 253.5 passing yards (-113) |
Pick 3 | Jerry Jeudy over 57.5 receiving yards (-113) |
Parlay Odds | +287 ($20 to win $57.55) |
Pick #1: Broncos Moneyline (-300)
The first leg of this Broncos vs Seahawks parlay bet is a layup play on the Denver Broncos moneyline. Russell Wilson and the Broncos are not losing this game against the rebuilding Seahawks, who saw their roster fall apart this offseason as the franchise finally moves on from its core of the 2010s.
Stranger things have happened in Week 1 and the Seahawks will have the home crowd advantage. However, Wilson knows what to expect in the city he called home and is going to walk out of Seattle victorious in his first game in a different uniform.

Pick #2: Russell Wilson Over 253.5 Passing Yards (-113)
The second leg of this MNF Same Game Parlay backs Wilson to come out flying in his Broncos debut. After a down year for a bad Seahawks team that was further hampered by injuries brought in some doubt around Wilson’s status as an elite quarterback, it is expected he will come out throwing the ball all over the yard in this one.
Seattle’s defense also took a step back this offseason, saying goodbye to linebacker Bobby Wagner as the team’s restructuring impacted the defense as well as the quarterback situation. Playing a defense that lost key pieces from last season will be a welcome sight for Wilson and should help him have a successful return.

Pick #3: Jerry Jeudy Over 57.5 Receiving Yards (-113)
The final leg of our Broncos vs Seahawks parlay rests on Broncos wideout Jerry Jeudy reaching 58 or more receiving odds. That is a number Jeudy eclipsed four times in his 10 games played in 2021 as the talented wideout’s second NFL season was mired with absences.
Despite failing to consistently appear for the Broncos last year, Jeudy showcased his talent when he was on the field and was a reliable target for a carousel of quarterbacks. Now backed with a consistent leader of the offense, the pressure is on for Jeudy to take a leap and produce a breakout season. I am buying the hype on an elevated version of Jeudy and see him having a massive game with Wilson throwing him the football.

Broncos vs Seahawks Preview
Both the Broncos and the Seahawks had unsuccessful 2021 seasons they want to move on from as the new campaign begins. Denver finished last in the AFC West with a 7-10 record, leading the team to fire Vic Fangio and hire new head coach Nathaniel Hackett. Hackett is in his first head coaching job, previously spending time as the Green Bay Packers offensive coordinator before landing the Broncos job earlier this year.
The Seahawks will once again be led by head coach Pete Carroll, who returns despite the team saying goodbye to more and more longtime contributors with each passing season. Carroll looks to prove the doubters predicting a second straight losing season wrong, but has a lot of work to do losing Wilson as quarterback from a team that already limped to a mediocre 7-10 record last year.
Carroll’s Week 1 record is surprisingly bad considering his run of regular season success as the head coach of the Seahawks. Carroll’s record in season openers is 6-6, a .500 record for a coach who has guided one of the winningest teams of the past 10 years in the league.
