The Bedlam Series in on the schedule Saturday as the #7 Oklahoma Sooners travel to Stillwater to take on the #21 Oklahoma State Cowboys in the 114th meeting between these two schools.
The Oklahoma Sooners still have an outside shot at making the College Football playoff, but still need a lot of help from teams ahead of them. Oklahoma is 10-1 overall, 7-1 in the Big 12, and have posted their fifth consecutive double digit win season. The Sooners will be going bowling for the 21st straight season.
Oklahoma State continued their good season with a win last week and now sit at 8-3 overall and 5-3 in the Big 12. If Oklahoma State can win out they will have their fourth 10 win season in their last five seasons. The Cowboys will be going bowling for the 14th straight season.
Below is my pick for the #7 Oklahoma Sooners at the #21 Oklahoma State Cowboys. All lines are from the William Hill Sportsbook.
#7 Oklahoma Sooners (-13) at #21 Oklahoma State Cowboys: O/U 69.5 points (-110/-110)
Oklahoma kept their slim college football playoff hopes alive with a slim 28-24 home win over the TCU Horned Frogs. It looked like it was going to be an easy night for the Sooners, as they held a 21-0 lead early in the second, but TCU did not go away and made this one interesting in the fourth. The Sooners have now won three straight games since their surprising loss to Kansas State in late October. OU still needs to win, and win in some style, if they want to be in the final four come the end of the season. The Sooners are 7-0 at home this season. Oklahoma is 4-7 against the spread and the under has hit in six of their 11 games this season.
The Oklahoma State Cowboys continued their strong end to the 2019 season with a 20-13 road win over West Virginia last week. Oklahoma State entered the fourth quarter trailing 13-10, but a 10-0 advantage in the final quarter saw the Cowboys leave Morgantown with a win. The Cowboys have now won four straight games and find themselves on the brink of another 10 win season. OSU is 4-1 at home this season and they have gone 3-1 in Stillwater at home. Oklahoma State is 9-2 against the spread and the under has hit in six of their 11 games this season.
Series History: Oklahoma has won the last four meetings in this series and now leads the all-time series 88-18-7.
ATS Prediction: It doesn’t seem like Oklahoma can blow anyone out right now, so I am backing Oklahoma State +13 Saturday.
