One of the most exciting games of the season is set for primetime when the #7 Miami Hurricanes (3-0, 2-0) visit the #1 Clemson Tigers (3-0, 2-0) on Saturday, October 10, 2020. Both teams have been impressive to start the season and this game could turn the ACC upside down. This game will air live on ABC at 7:30 p.m. EST.
[metabet_core_odds_compare query=”clemson” size=”350×300″ style=”modern” site_id=”atsio” css=”float:right; margin-left:10px”]Through three games, the Miami offense has been explosive as they are averaging 43.3 points per game and 499.0 yards per game, 266.7 through the air and 232.3 on the ground. Below is my pick for the #7 Miami Hurricanes and #1 Clemson Tigers. All odds are from BetMGM Sportsbook.
#7 Miami Hurricanes at #1 Clemson Tigers (-15.5): O/U 65.5 (-104/-118)
Last time out, Miami hosted rivals Florida State and came away with a dominant 52-10 victory. This game way over before it started as Miami led 14-3 after the first quarter and 38-3 at the half. At one point in the game Miami scored 31 unanswered points from late in the first through early in the third quarter. Quarterback DโEriq King threw for 267 yards and two touchdowns and added an additional 65 yards on the ground. Running backs CamโRon Harris and Donald Chaney Jr. each added two touchdowns on the ground. Miami had a bye last weekend and should be well prepared for this showdown between the two top seven teams.
Clemson prepared for Miami by hosting the Virginia Cavaliers and winning 41-23. This game was never in doubt as the Tigers led by double digits most of the night and were able to get the backups some snaps in the fourth quarter. Quarterback Trevor Lawrence was his normal efficient self as he went 25/38 for 329 yards and three touchdowns. Running back Travis Etienne had himself a game as he rushed for 73 yards and one touchdown and caught five balls for 114 yards and one touchdown. Wide Receiver Amari Rodgers added six receptions for 72 yards and two touchdowns.
Series History: Clemson has won two consecutive meetings between these two schools, but Miami still leads the all-time series 6-5.
Free Football Pick: I cannot wait for this game and think itโs too tough to chose between the line. I am leaning Miami +15.5, but my play in this one is over 65.5 (-104).
