#3 Georgia Bulldogs at #2 Alabama Crimson Tide (-4.5): O/U 56.5 (-110/-110)
The Georgia Bulldogs hosted the Tennessee Volunteers last weekend and came away with a 44-21 victory. It was a sleepy start for Georgia, as they trailed 21-17 at the half, but the Bulldogs came out firing in the second half and came away with the easy victory. Stetson Bennett threw for 238 yards, two touchdowns, and added another touchdown on the ground. Georgia kicked three field goals and got a defensive touchdown, so they excelled in all three sides of the game.
Alabama visited an explosive Ole Miss team and left Oxford with a 63-48 victory. This was a fun, back and forth game, that saw these two teams tied at 42 early in the fourth quarter. Alabama won the fourth quarter 21-13 to come away with the double-digit win. QB Mac Jones had himself a day as he went 28/32 for 417 yards and two touchdowns. Wide receiver DeVonta Smith hauled in 13 catches for 164 yards and one touchdown, while Jaylen Waddle had six catches for 120 yards. The start of the game was running back Najee Harris who rushed the ball 23 times for 206 yards and 5 (!) touchdowns.
Series History: Alabama has won five consecutive meetings and leads the all-time series 40-25-4.
Football Predictions: I like Alabama -4.5 in this marquee matchup.
