The MAC Conference gets week 11 started Tuesday night when the Ball State Cardinals (5-4, 3-2 in MAC) visit the Toledo Rockets (6-3, 4-1). Toledo currently leads the MAC – West, but a Ball State win in this one would catapult the Cardinals to the top spot. Below is my college football pick for Ball State vs Toledo.

Why Bet Ball State
✅ Toledo appears to be the class of the MAC, but they are not blowing teams out.
✅ Ball State has gone on the road and kept it close, or win, so the Cardinals won’t be phased.
✅ The scoring has been traditionally low when these two teams play, so a two-score spread might be too rich.
Ball State Cardinals
Last time out, Ball State visited Kent State and used a big second quarter to leave with a 27-20 win. Kent State came out firing, leading 13-0 after the first quarter, but Ball State was not deterred and led 17-13 at the half. The Cardinals led by seven going into the fourth quarter, but needed a late touchdown to get the big road win.
John Paddock went 26/41 for 254 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception on the night. Carson Steele could not be stopped as he ran the ball 29 times for 192 yards, a 6.6 average, and one touchdown in the win. Defensively, the Cardinals allowed 408 total yards and did not force any Kent State turnovers.
Through nine games, Ball State is scoring 24.8 points per game and gaining 395.7 yards, 248.8 through the air and 146.9 on the ground. Defensively, the Cardinals allow 27.2 points and 397.8 yards, 208.0 passing and 189.8 rushing.
Toledo Rockets
Toledo visited Eastern Michigan and left with a late 27-24 win. The Eagles led 7-0 after the first quarter, 17-10 after the second, and 24-17 after the third, but the Rockets were not done. Toledo scored the only 10 points on the fourth quarter, including the game winning touchdown with just over two minutes left, to continue their march towards a MAC – West title.
Tucker Gleason went 15/27 for 238 yards, three touchdowns, and zero interceptions on the day. Mikel Barkley, Jerjuan Newton, and Lenny Kuhl each hauled in a touchdown pass. Defensively, Toledo allowed 217 total yards and forced one Eastern Michigan interception.
After nine games, Toledo is scoring 35.9 points per game and gaining 403.6 yards, 215.8 through the air and 187.8 on the ground. Defensively, the Rockets allow 26.9 points and 347.6 yards, 189.4 passing and 158.1 rushing.
