This game will be played at Soldier Field at 8:15 PM ET on Thursday, October 13, 2022.
Why Bet The Bears:
✅ The Washington Commanders have been a disaster offensively this season, averaging just 18.0 points per game. Chicago has received a lot of flak for their struggles on the offensive side of the ball, but these teams are separated by less than a point per game on the year. Expect the Commanders to continue to have trouble offensively, as they have failed to score 20 points in three straight games entering Week 6.

✅ Washington has not covered the spread since Week 1 of this season against an overrated Jacksonville Jaguars team. Since then, they have lost straight up and against the spread against the Lions, Eagles, Cowboys, and Titans. Their losing streak is going to hit five games in a row this week, as they have to hit the road on a short week after a disappointing home loss.
✅ Chicago is 2-3 this season, but they are 2-0 at home this season. They have won defensive struggles against the 49ers and Texans at Soldier Field this year. In a game with a sub-40 total going in, expect them to win another low-scoring affair against a team that is really struggling to move the ball offensively.
Washington Commanders
The Washington Commanders lost have lost four straight games since winning in Week 1 against the Jacksonville Jaguars. They had their chances to beat the Tennessee Titans at home in Week 5, but threw a goal line interception as time expired to fall to 1-4 on the year. Here, the Commanders hit the road against the Chicago Bears in search of their first win since Week 1.
For Washington, the number one key for them moving forward is to find some sort of running game. The Commanders are averaging 89.0 yards per game on the ground, which is the fifth worst mark in the NFL through five weeks. They are putting way too much pressure on a quarterback in Carson Wentz who is not that good to begin with, hence their abysmal start to the season.
Chicago Bears
For the Chicago Bears, there may not be any moral victories in football, but they did perform admirably in a loss in Week 5. Chicago lost by seven points to the Minnesota Vikings, but they came back from a 21-3 deficit to briefly take the lead in the game. Here, the Bears will look to build on that against a struggling Commanders team at home.
Encouraging for the Bears in Week 5 was the fact that they put together a respectable passing performance through Justin Fields. He completed 15 of his 21 pass attempts for 208 yards, a touchdown and no interceptions. If he can continue to perform at a respectable, professional level, the Bears could get back to .500 on the season after this game.
