Panthers vs Bills Betting Pick
This game will be played at Highmark Stadium at 1:00 PM ET on Sunday, December 19, 2021.
Why Bet The Bills:
✅ Carolina has been nothing short of a disaster with Cam Newton as its starting quarterback. They are 0-3 with Newton as their starter, losing to Washington, Miami and Atlanta over that stretch. Here, against the best team that the Panthers have faced with Newton as their signal caller, the Panthers will drop a fourth straight.
✅ Buffalo has lost two straight games, but some context is required there. They lost to the Patriots and Buccaneers, two of the five best teams in the NFL, by a combined 10 points. Both of those games could have been won late by the Bills, and they will get back on track against the hapless Panthers here at home.

✅ This season, the Panthers are 5-8 against the spread on the year. Only the Bears, Jaguars and Jets have worse records against the number than the Panthers do, which does not bode well against a Bills team that is in a must-win situation to avoid falling back to .500 on the year and falling backward in the AFC playoff chase.
Carolina Panthers
The Carolina Panthers were outclassed by the Atlanta Falcons a week ago, as another clunker from Cam Newton dropped them to 5-8 on the season. Carolina couldn’t get things going offensively in the first half, dropping their third game in as many outings with Newton as their starting quarterback. This week, they face their toughest test to date during the second Cam Newton era, against a desperate Buffalo Bills team.
Of course, Newton isn’t the only one to blame for the offensive woes of the Panthers right now. They are without Christian McCaffrey for the remainder of the season, and they fired offensive coordinator Joe Brady. But all of the excuses in the world don’t make all of these losses feel any better, as the Panthers continue to struggle to find any sort of identity offensively.
Buffalo Bills
The Buffalo Bills fought valiantly against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on the road in Week 14, but fell short in overtime. That was their second straight loss to a fellow contender, after they lost to the New England Patriots the week before on Monday Night Football. This week, the Bills hope to take advantage of a golden opportunity to get right against the reeling Carolina Panthers at home.
This game could come down to the health of Josh Allen, who is dealing with a foot injury and is considered day-to-day on the BIlls’ injury report. Without Allen, the Bills’ passing game would take a significant hit, and the team lacks the potent rushing attack required to overcome something like that.
