Head to Head
Teams Last 10
Pick 1: San Francisco 49ers Moneyline (-175)
The first leg of the TNF Same Game Parlay backs the road favorite in the 49ers to secure the win over the Seahawks. Despite the injuries to their top two quarterbacks on the depth chart and the absence of offensive weapon Deebo Samuel, this Niners team still holds a talent advantage over the Seahawks and should be able to roll on Thursday Night Football against their divisional rivals.
San Francisco has the best defense in football, allowing just 15.2 points per game and the offense has been competently run by rookie quarterback Brock Purdy so far. The Niners have put up 68 points in Purdy’s two appearances, indicating that this is a team that should still be considered as a Super Bowl contender even with an unproven late round rookie under center.
Seattle has also struggled mightily since their hot start to the season, going 1-3 in their last four games. Among those losses were home defeats to the Las Vegas Raiders and the Carolina Panthers. With two bad losses to teams with losing records, it looks like the Niners are rightfully road favorites here and should be able to leave Seattle with a win to all but seal the NFC West title.

Pick 2: Christian McCaffrey Over 123.5 Rushing and Receiving Yards (-115)
124 yards seems like an impossible number to clear for Christian McCaffrey’s total yardage prop but with no Deebo Samuel it is likely that McCaffrey will have his biggest workload as a 49er to date. Especially considering how often he has been used as a checkdown option since Purdy took over the quarterback role in San Francisco.
In the past two games, McCaffrey has produced 299 yards of total offense with Purdy as the quarterback. Those numbers allowed McCaffrey to hit the total yardage over in both of those games. Facing a Seattle team that struggles to stop running backs and with no Samuel to take touches away from McCaffrey, the 123.5 number oddsmakers are placing to discourage bettors from taking the over again isn’t high enough to shy away from backing the focal point of the 49ers offense to have another big day.

Pick 3: Geno Smith Over 20.5 Completions (-145)
The game logs point to this number being a bit too low to pass up, even with the factoring in of the 49ers top ranked defense as the opponent.
Smith’s season lows in completions are 16, 20, 20 and he has completed 21 or more passes in his last six consecutive games. Geno also completed 24 passes in the Seahawks’ prior meeting with the 49ers in Week 2.
All of the numbers point to taking the over completions here, with the -145 juice being a lot easier to swallow in a Same Game Parlay. With Smith averaging 23.5 completions per game, he should be able to get across the line with 21 completions to hopefully cash this TNF SGP.

49ers vs Seahawks Preview
Nick Bosa hopes the rematch against the Seahawks is as favorable of a matchup for him as it was in Week 2, where the Defensive Player of the Year candidate feasted on the Seattle offensive line. Bosa registered two sacks, five QB hits and a large handful of pressures on the day. Rookie offensive takes Abe Lucas and Charles Cross will need to step up their game and find a way to block Bosa if Seattle wants to win this football game.
Stopping Bosa is the key to the game for Seattle as Bosa represents the bulk of the 49ers pass rushing threat. Bosa has 14.5 sacks on the season while no other San Francisco player has more than four sacks on the season. If Seattle can slow down Bosa’s pass rush, they will be in good shape to keep their season alive with a win.
Seattle will need to defend the run significantly better than they have in recent weeks if they want to win on Thursday night. Both Josh Jacobs of the Raiders and Chuba Hubbard of the Panthers feasted on the Seahawks defense in the team’s two recent home losses. Facing an even better running back in McCaffrey, Seattle needs to step it up and finally contain a running back in order to have any hope of winning.
