Atlanta won the National League East and faced off against teh Milwaukee Brewers in the NLDS. After dispatching the Brewers in four games, Atlanta faced the Los Angeles Dodgers in a rematch of last seasons NLCS. Just like last season, Atlanta went up 3-1, but unlike 2020, they were able to finish off Los Angeles in six games. This will be Atlanta’s first appearance in the World Series since the 1999 season.

Pitching Preview: Charlie Morton vs Framber Valdez
Charlie Morton is set to make his fourth appearance of the postseason and his fourth appearance in the World Series. Morton took a loss in last seasons World Series, when he was with Tampa Bay, and appeared twice for the Houston Astros back in 2017.
Framber Valdez will also make his fourth appearance of the 2021 postseason and this will be his first ever World Series appearance. Valdez was brilliant against Boston as he allowed a combined nine hits and three earned runs in 10.2 innings pitched.
